I knew i'd seen him somewhere before... -
De Goey mate! Collingwood adding Beams in middle and having JDG up forward permanently will be a formidable opponent. Pretty pumped for QB Retribution just thinking about it.

No one had spargo picked to debut this year even based on vfl form for first month or 2. Many wanted him to debut, but only because we were so desperate for a small forwards with pace at the time, not because he was banging door down. Looking at Bedford, I can see him getting a look in, similar speed and frame as Garlett. Might seize an opportunity like Spargo did, as he's such a contrasting forward to all others in 22, like Garlett is

I can't believe anyone would ever vote again for a party that signs a pre-election agreement to send a billion tax payer dollars to their construction mates if their freeway isn't built and I wouldn't listen to the 'equally bad' nonsense, it's just a disillusioned lib talking point to disguise them all as indistinguishable from each other. Re-opening tafes is more important than building new AFL facilities. So maybe the Yarra Park facilities should be geared more towards education and learning. Sports science, training etc with MFC facilities tacked on, to get approval. Probably not the place for a digressing political discussion though, oops. -

As a non-footballer, i could say the same thing about Harrison Petty or Charlie Spargo! -
Best of 3 prelim please

Sacrilege to mention around here, but Freo are one of the few teams that i want to win a premiership outside of the Dees. I was barracking hard in 2013 for them, shouting at the telly when they beat Geelong at Kardinia Park, enjoying their crushing pressure game on Sydney. And of course barracking hard for them against Hawthorn in the prelim back in 2015 when it went down to the wire. If they can see some success in the next 7 or so years with Hogan reaching his potential, it would be good for the game and nice that we've played a role in his development.

Demonland Podcast with Josh Mahoney TONIGHT 14/11 @ 8:30pm

Why does his position in the bnF have any bearing on the conversation over his role in the team moving forward? Clarko didn't roll out the red carpet of a long contract for Lewis or Mitchell after they finished in the top 2 or 3 of their bNf. He saw the writing on the wall that a 3 years contract was not going to benefit the team, and traded them somewhere that would benefit them individually. I'm not suggesting anything like that, i'm only suggesting that having the conversation about Jones, his strengths and weaknesses and his role or position in the team next year and the years after, does not make you a hater. -

Jay Clark reported a refutation that the Hogan deal wasn't 8 years, but 3 though. Seemed to have taken our side and reported against the WA media lies.

Didn't watch any Freo games this year aside from our game. What kind of player is Brayshaw? Or will become?
-
Many players that have been mentioned on here were negated with 'should go earlier', but having a mixed lolly bag of all of them in mind should net us one or two of em as they can't all be picked. I suppose that's how we got Petty last year

There will be plenty of people playfully boo'ing an ex player without any spite, just because it comes with the territory of departing a club. Surely someone as highly intelligent and enlightened as you wouldn't set yourself up for the disappointment. ?

My pass mark will be no greater than one or two 20-30+ point losses max. So playing to win every single quarter. Obviously a tonne of close losses will be a fail if they're against weaker teams, but if we win all of the games we should and have a health balance of close wins/losses against good opponents then we'll be in good stead for the finals, we'll be good enough to really push deep into the finals and potentially win a prelim. Close prelim game is the finals pass mark I suppose. I don't want any of that Hawthorn & Collingwood nonsense repeated next year. If we have an off day, we better back it up with a fierce response. Should put us on track to win about 15/16 games.

SATURDAY JUNE TWENTY BOO @ 1:45PM MCG (H)

His numbers are traccing as good as Jordan De Goey's, he just needs to kick more goals and take more marks as it's a noticeably large difference. I wonder how much of that can be attributed to playing more midfield time than JDG though, as he's definitely not the focal point of our forward line like he is theirs. It was spoken about on another thread, but Tracc is 5cm shorter and 5kg heavier according to those stats. So maybe Lyon just wants him to lose a bit of weight in the off and become a more aerobic player to give him an extra yard of elusive pace. Footywire comparison

I'm detached from the footy world in my corner of the world so i will just close the media file, message my parents saying 'hooray we finally fudging won' and then walk around with a smile on my face for the rest of the day, stuffing as much media and articles into my brain before opening the draft forum the following day to read and comment on who we need to go back to back ?
