Now the lever deal is done

We REALLY need another mid or two now.

When I first saw the deal I did not see we were getting Adelaides second back. Pick 10 & 15 (approx) for Lever and 35 plus we upgrade a 4th to a 3rd next year (which is around another say 10 pick upgrade) looks pretty good to me, gone are the days where our first round pick is going to be top 3 and worth the farm. At the end of the day there isn't too much between a early second and a late first. We still have a pretty decent draft position with 27, 35 and probably 29 from the Watts trade. You have to give to get quality.

I know we were linked to Rockliff last year. I think he would be a really good get and would only cost us salary cap. Saw that he can go forward as well as be a proficient mid. I know he is another inside mid but our inside game well and truly fell to [censored] when Viney, Tyson & Jones were injured. Maybe we are offloading Watts because we need that cap space for a few trade targets. I think what a lot of posters forget the fact Jack No longer has "potenital" what you see is what you get. He is going on 27 and has been at the peak of his powers for the last 2 years. Sure if you trade him he might become "refreshed" and play well to start off, but his old habits will seep in, especially if he can't lift his preparation, but just because Jack pulls on another jumper it doesn't mean he will become a super star. Yes he is a classy player and sure after the siren in a grand final I would want him to be kicking for goal, however how many goals will he cost us in that grand final with his terrible 1 on 1 efforts and not being able to stick a tackle? My guess is he will get traded to a bottom feeder club, cash in and end his career something like Dale Thomas minus the premiership.

Hate richmond with a passion. I can see someone like Richard Douglas popping up with a 4 goal 20 disposal game and winning the norm Smith. Adelaide by 24 points... Close until the last 10 minutes and junk time Jenkins will come to the party

So you really think a club pushing for finals would actually trade 2 of their best tall forwards in 1 trade period. Hogan going simply is not happening, and if there was a slight chance of it happening we would not be testing the waters with trading Watts. The MFC supporters would go ballistic if we lost both those boys as its pretty much time to shut up shop for another 3 year rebuild.

Looking back at his AFL 360 comments after the Collingwood loss I wouldn't be surprised if he was talking about Jack and is one of the players driving him out.... No inside knowledge just my opinion
