Really hoping it's metricon as well, just so I can finally get to a game this year. I was in Melbourne for 2 games this year and couldn't go due to snap lockdowns

Sorry old dee.. but that was without a doubt one of the worst most biased umpiring against us I have ever seen. I really suggest you go back and watch some of the calls, non calls and [censored] make up as they go calls we were subjected to in that game. (I have) Look at how often we got pinned for down the field free kicks with the slightest contact, and have a look how many were paid our way. Have a look at the how HTB was educated so differently between the two sides. Have a look how little contact needed to be made at the bottom of a pack for a free to be called against us with non coming our way. That game was 100% determined by the umpiring. Either they are completely incompetent at their job or their was direction for the dogs to win.

100% agree Melksham is also quite potent 1 out and can play midfield minutes. I think Melksham and Trac should be doing what Caddy and Dustin were doing in the tigers 17 finals campaign. 70-30 midfield forward for tracc swapping directly with melk.

JJ looks like he is slowing down, LJ might need a rest for a few weeks. Harmes has been pretty bad. Viney looks like he is getting some touch back, no way does he go out. The game becomes more contested with less space in finals and the end or the year, I'd like to get more experience in the team finding form before finals. I think a fresh Melksham and Jones could be exactly what our team needs.

Top 4 is completely in our hands. We win we cannot lose our top 4 spot. Who cares what the Sydney and Brisbane need to do it's null and void if we win.

So disappointing, our kicking for goal was gross. Umpires 110% had bearing on the result. Woeful. Absolute must win the next 3 games to lock away top 4. Let's see how we respond.

This umpiring is beyond deplorable. I get the umps will make mistakes but the [censored] bulldogs can do as they please knowing they have protection from the maggots.

Don't get me wrong they are a solid team with probably the best midfield in the comp but they have glaring weaknesses especially in defence which will suggest they won't be their grand final day. When the heat goes up their system can be weak as shown in their record against top 4 teams. I simply cannot see them beating 2 top 4 teams in a row to make the grand final because they rely to heavily on plan A relying on midfield domination to work. Once the elite teams gain dominance which will happen in finals they defence will break. This is why we win this week.

Bit of laugh on the dogs big footy board. Apparently we are kissed on the [censored] because this game has been brought forward 1 week. I think they know a loss is imminent and already making excuses because dunkley will be out.

1) bulldogs aren't in great form either 2) bulldogs don't play the MCG often only playing there twice this year with a 1-1 record 3) we have a great record against top 8 sides and pantsed them 7 weeks ago on their home deck. 4) we are a very good team currently sitting on top of the ladder after 18 rounds and been there most of the year. 5) likely wet weather which will nullify their strengths more than ours.

Cold, wet n windy at the G this week. Probably doesn't suit the dogs. Wouldn't be surprised if we take a tall forward out for another small.

We seem to enter our forward 50 into the pockets more often than not. I think we do this to effectively set up down the field to assist our defence, this will normally lead to tougher set shots on angles. I'd be really interested in heat maps between us on the other top 4 teams were our set shots have been taken from.
