Media Madness
Ha ha so true I always considered Damo a lightweight in the media and never understood the attraction or how he wormed his way onto these panels.๐๐

Welcome to Demonland: Oscar Berry
From his coaches notes at North Florida Ospreys he is 6โ5โ and 205 lb, similar size to Rick and Disco. Competive passion and determination not only stems from his basketball background but in his Australian Rules Football days. Oscar is a Marketing Graduate and is planning a Masters in Marketing. Seems like a self driven young man that could fill a hole at Dees.

Welcome to Demonland: Oscar Berry
Oscar sounds like an interesting Cat B rookie option, 196cm played Aussie rules in Australia until aged 16. His father is a High Performance Mgr in USA (worked with Bummers and Wet Toast in Australia) and his two older brothers are/were punters in the NFL. Should have a good leg on him. Itโs a long shot but Oscar has chosen us over 5 other clubs and personally I look forward to seeing another Oscar in the mighty Red and Blue.

Who is our next captain?
Agree that the younger brigade need to be rapidly developed and I would add Kozzie Pickett and maybe McVee to your list of Rivers, Sparrow, Chandler and Petty. However, to my mind there are only two candidates that could step into the void in the near future, Rick Lever if he can get his body and game back to his best and Christian Petracca if he can continue to build on his current fitness and desire to lead. I am sure that the club will be working on our leadership issues.

TRAINING: Monday 29th June 2025
Thanks Mr Ed it sure is, my wifeโs 70th today, having a birthday on the EOFY has saved me on a number of occasions. On a sadder note it is the 14th anniversary of the passing of another Demon great, Sean Wight.

TRAINING: Monday 29th June 2025
Thank you Ghostwriter, Kev Martin, Harvey Wallbanger and all posters, really glad to hear that Disco is participating at training today looked very sore on Saturday. Also good to hear that Clayton in particular and Harvey are mending quickly. Going to be a few missing against the Crows I think. Hope the rest pull up Ok.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Deez21 are you new on here are you actually a Dee supporter perhaps you should acquaint yourself with the Training Reports on DLand, your above comments are both rude and bare no resemblance to reality.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I thought that Gold Coast came out of the blocks like a bunch of storm troopers, running hard brushed us aside like we were U18โs and they probably should have been more than 36 points ahead by quarter time. However from that point on we managed to drag ourselves back into the game and with a bit of luck in the last we could have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, despite losing Howes and Petty both concussed, Clayton bleeding like a stuck pig and a few others looking the worse for wear. By the way thanks to some on here for rubbing out our players in line with the Commentary teams biased antics. We finished strongly despite starting weakly, try not to let your disappointment colour your comments in such a negative mean manner.

Looks like Viney and May Ok as well, lot of fines though for Melee commentators will be disappointed. No longer worried about head high contact??

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Agree DiscoStu17 Iโd also like to see a bit more lateral thinking, we were getting beaten down back and even though Rooey was doing Ok at CHF why not try him down back and Verrall as well and send Adamโs fwd to see what he has. Woey needs a role just as Tholstrup needs a specific role in the 1โs, they are both team first players, it will help their confidence and improve us as a team.

Judd McVee Contract
That will be an excellent result Ghostwriter, he is in our must keep group going forward.๐๐

VOTES: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
6 - Jake Melksham dominant game from Milkshake 5 - Kozzie Pickett I thought he and Jake might get us over the line 4 - Jake Bowey need to get the ball into his hands more 3 - Christian Petracca in the engine room where itโs close and personal 2 - Trent Rivers got better as the game went on 1 - Jack Viney helped get us back in the game. Then Max, Salo and Claz.

My 3 word player analysis V GC
Everyone to their own opinion But we had a miserably poor 1st quarter and looked like we would go down by 60+ points, we hit the post twice and Milkshake missed at least two that he would normally swallow and we went down by 19 points to a top 8 side that was aided and abetted by the umpiring fraternity. Plus we were two down.????

PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
I was reading the Training thread and Kevin Martin mentioned that Windsor hurt his foot during one of the training drills, so that may explain why he isnโt playing. The Casey team will tell the story.
