  1. completely agree, but i reckon fritsch was rested, not dropped.
  2. which 3 players mate?
  3. after listening to the mfc podcast, peter jackson seems to think that we could accomodate a 'big fish' if they chose to come along to us at the end of the year.. exciting prospect.
  4. was super impressed with salem on the weekend. loved him smashing majak and looking out for his teammate (something i just haven't seen in the last few years by any dee). it's something we need to focus on. being hard and making opposition accountable.
  5. we'll see if he's there in 12-18 mths mate. i'm not convinced. he's an honest player, but has clear limitations
  6. it's absolutely disrespectful. but it's true. just because he got possessions doesn't mean he early them. i like ANB, but he's a soft outside player and always will be. his attributes are his tank, goal sense and foot skills (when on).
  7. lol. ANB?! no chance he's a tagger (soft) and if he got the ball her probably cough it up via poor disposal anyway.. he goes out in my opinion. melksham offers more and has grunt. also, milkshake might be another tagging option for Mitchell (sharing w Vince)?
  8. loving the analysis guys.. i reckon continuing to utilise this strategy will eventually pay off, once the players perfect it and everyone is on the same page. we will DEMOLISH teams. however, its not the most beautiful way to play and after the imitators (and maybe a flag), we will get loads of criticism for how ugly it is.
  9. completely agree. ANB needs to get those marks and get more involved and more physical if possible. melksham just needs to get more involved. he had some nice touches especially in the last qtr after his head knock. also a goal or two a game would be nice..
  10. hogan referred to this an interview during the week too.. maybe it was after the lions win? anyone else hear it?
  11. mate. i was referring to picking wines up in the future. not in a previous draft. he can join our current boys.
  12. just imagine viney and wines pushing each other in the midfield..then add oliver and petracca. i think the dees should move heaven and highwater to get ollie.
  13. uhh.. it was a trial game?
  14. Out: Melksham, Hunt In: Brayshaw, Frost
  15. cos he fumbles and cos he can only kick up and unders. also as a mid, his goals have dried up. AND he's too slow with decision-making. gets caught quite a lot holding the ball (overestimates his pace). however, despite all this, i do like him. as long as he doesn't overestimate his own ability and plays simple. better when he rotates up forward.. he isn't a 100% mid.
  16. they are both rubbish. if they play oscar on brown, brown will kick 10. seriously.
  17. as an inside mid, yes. if he has time, he definitely has the foot skills to be more on the outside.. but at the end of the day, he's a freaking forward.
  18. or shanks it to no one
  19. can someone please tell the mfc publicity team to go into lockdown? no more fluff pieces and no more [censored] interviews! jaaaaayzus
  20. hunt'll need to polish up his footskills first, but this could definitely be an option down the line i reckon
  21. i agree, we do need to persevere with salem. however, everyone (including him) needs to know he's not a protected species cos of his foot skills (that we very rarely see, cos he can't get near it). he seems to be constantly chasing opposition players as they stream away...
  22. o--mac: weak and hopeless harmes: tried hard, but limited gawn: dominant, but no communication with mids oliver & petracca: amazing (apart from the misses) hunt: no good in tight maynard: liked his aggression, but no footskills and not ready for afl vince: played well wagner: crappola early, got involved and got physical in second half. if he can do that all game, i can accept one or two miss-kicks goodwin: coaching is a dynamic thing. adjust your strategy during a game bro
