What the Fritsch
for those saying he'll go past harmes... i would've thought harmes would be more a midfield option after the past aflx and jlt1 performances? harmes seems fit and ready to run. whereas, bayley is more of a kick-a-bag kinda guy. we'll use harmes in the engine room surely! looking forward to watching the kid develop and reckon him and garlett are gonna cause chaos, lol

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
i see a bit of sam mitchell too. clever, tough and good skills in close..

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
already coming round to this kid...could be the fourth furphy though. definitely rather him in the side than o-mac.. and maybe even frost by the end of 2018/9. he looks good. would've liked garner or houlahan though. annoyed the bombers took houlahan. grrrrr. he'll be a player!

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
i'd be pretty happy on ling or this bloke at 29.
-
Jack Petruccelle
apart from speed seems to have pretty average skills.. there's gotta be other options out there. i'd be disappointed if they go for him.

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
someone on the lever thread suggested that we might trade pick 27/35 and watts to someone to get back into the first round.. i'd be stoked to do that. even if it's next year's first round. otherwise, we need run/good disposal.

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
cheers mate! i have a hunch the footy dept have something planned (i.e. nabbing a first rounder) and haven't followed the draftees so closely this year. i'll keep an eye out for the blokes you mentioned..

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
strictly hypothetically, if the dees took a top ten pick to this year's draft, taking into consideration our list heading into next year, what are a few names you think we'd be keen on?..

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
as exciting as it is is following the draft into november, i can't see us keeping our top picks this year... definitely looks as though there's a few more options this year than first reported though!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
i'd suggest 2017 first rounder and oscar for lever. need to hang on to that 2018 first rounder at (nearly) all cost.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
forward? he's no where near physical enough.. he still looks like a frightened kid out there. seriously. he has a better kick than his brother (which doesn't say much) but i seriously cannot see what people see in him.. yeah the coaches are playing him, but what are the other options? i reckon he'll be gone in a year or two. seems like a nice kid, but just soft and apprehensive. he'd never take intercept marks like jack leslie did late in the game against the eagles yesterday..
-
Joe Daniher
who cares.. he was never gonna leave the club. he's a bomber. its like trying to work out if jack viney would leave to play for another team.. not gonna happen.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
coming from someone who was quite disappointed at the recruitment of melksham, i was pleasantly surprised, after oberving his demeanour and skills at a few of the 2015 training sessions late last year (prior to his ban). in particular, i was really impressed with his crispness, speed and excitement during drills. fingers crossed his signing results in a big win for the dees. i also hope he keeps his attitude in check and matures into a likeable guy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
i just had a quick look at the bomber forum *shudder* and there was a suggestion of salem and our second rd pick for hibberd. LOL. another suggestion was combining our second rd pick and grimes/trengove to get a pick in the early 20's (for hibberd). what a shite way to send out an ex-captain. i'd rather go without hibberd entirely. hope we stand firm.

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
screw picks! 2 x A graders are needed if he leaves! we know that he will be a star. draftees are unreliable and take time. i can't believe that i'm even entertaining the thought that he will leave... i don't think it will happen and i sure as hell don't want to see it happen. he's a good guy and has unlimited potential. for anyone suggesting that he's just here to get the big bucks, that is a real cynical way to look at the situation. he's been in melbourne for years now and has mates here and they are hopefully growing together. if we are still in our quagmire in a few years he'll go, but we should be sweet for the moment.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
just left training at gosch's and sam turned up (I think towards the end?) milling about having a chat with a few staff. he looked happy and eager. had his dees jacket on. he definitely gives off a confident aura. looking forward to seeing what he can do!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
*just sayin'! i didn't join demonland to get spelling and grammar lessons from people that make mistakes in their own posts.. it's a freaking footy forum, relax guys! let's get back to talking weideman!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
yeah Oliver impressed in turning up at the combine in better shape, but geez, he only worked for two weeks leading up to it! you'd have thought his fitness/physique would've been a lot better when you think it was his big chance of getting drafted.. he's gonna get smashed in the cardio stuff pre-season.. def not building from the base petracca & brayshaw were at. no chance for round 1, although I'd like to see him there. he obviously needs to watch his weight/body type and the hope is that a professional competitive environment will instill that. imagine that puppy fat in a year's time! fingers crossed he'll be some kinda red headed midfield adonis, ripped within an inch of his life! exciting times.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
i can't recall if it's already been suggested, but has anyone seen/read oliver & olisik at the same point in time?... last night's interactive social media session that oliver had on FB just had me asking a few questions..... if so, hi olisik! if we do end up drafting you tonight, it's gonna be pretty sweet having your insight into the dees for the next few years!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
if 7, so be it, but pleeeeease not at 3. as long as we smash our first selection, i'd feel ok about trusting the recruiters on taking this kid at 7. definitely does look slow to me though.. i thought at the start of the draft period we'd be after SPEED! need some dash and foot skills at 3 surely and i of course can also see an argument for a KPP being taken early.. if only we had THREE selections in the top 10, then i'd be keen on oliver fo' sho!
