  1. Glad JKH is given a shot. Trains extremely hard and must know that this is he's last shot at it. Grab it with both hands JKH!
  2. Don't apologise mate! You're doing a terrific job. Might pop down on Friday also?. Would love to say gday..
  3. Thats the older brother Alex I think @kevin martin might have mixed Vanders with someone else because he definitely stayed in the forwards group the whole time down my end? I couldn't get over how big of a unit Vanders is! To the naked eye he looks like a genuine key forward. But to answer your question @John Demonic i think he can definitely play as that roaming 3rd tall/midfielder who can stand next to Tmac deep forward as a marking option and apply forward pressure once the ball hits the ground. With his sheer size and strength i would also love for him to have spurts on ball to give Oliver /Petracca rest up forward. We all forget that we drafted him as an inside midfielder that was averaging over 30 disposals a game in the NEAFL, so there's definitely some midfield ability there in him.
  4. I was watching him do some kick to kick at the start and he just seemed sluggish..didnt seem to move well and was definitely looking proppy.
  5. Anthony not James...
  6. Its now or never for JKH! Time to reward good form.
  7. Time to see what JKH has to offer. If they bring in Vince I'll cringe.
  8. Confirmed by Ben Guthrie as a stress fracture in his toe. Shocking luck! All the best bill.
  9. Just a few more notes. I dont think Mitch King will be on the list next year.. at the end, Weideman and Fillapovic were down one end and King down the other. They would kick the ball at each other for them to try and mark it at it's highest point.. unfortunately King was just dropping them and even Fillopovic was yelling out to him to try and stick his arm up higher. Not basing it on that, but he's just someone that can't to seem to get the basic fundamentals right. Fillapovic on the other hand is an interesting one.. I see something in him and wouldnt be surprised if hes kept on the list again for another year. Big thick set of legs and starting to add some size on his upper body will help also. He's also not a bad kick of the footy, in fact he's alot better then King. Reminds alot of when Stefan Martin started out for us as that raw and gangly project player.
  10. Hoges looking fit and ready to go! I reckon he is due for a bag this weekend! Just looks so confident. Tommy Mac was having shots for goal and kept missing them.. along woth Fritsch also who was not hitting right in the middle. Hopefully just blowing a few cobwebs out before the weekend.
  11. I was beside a tree looking quite dodgy, so i dont think anyone was game to shout me a coffee! Also good to see Anthony McDonald down there watching on with Todd Viney.
  12. MIA was Satman today... Baker looked and trained well. Even while the skills were a bit sloppy, he was hitting his targets and doing everything right. I didn't see his VFL game on the weekend but i wouldnt be opposed to him coming into the side and adding some class and speed on the outside. I would have thought if Smith hadn't come up today with that hip then maybe Vince was a chance.. but i think therell be minimal to no change this week.
  13. I would think it would be minimal. Joel Smith was doing some work with Crossy at the start but later joined in the main group. So he'll be fine. Unless something is up with Stretch i can't see any changes made.
  14. Look, i didnt think they were sluggish, but i also think they would have had better training days then today. Was a bit windy at times so skills were also a bit sloppy. Everyone seemed to move well but? The only issue is no Stretch in the track.
  15. All done. Happy to answer questions now!
  16. The session has finished but the guys who played at Casey are doing some boundary line run throughs. Though Kent and Vanders are doing goal kicking practice with some forward while Goody stands on the mark and watches on. Jones just doing extra touch with Ben Matthews.
  17. Now that you mention it no he isn't??
  18. Austin Bradtke is also here doing some work with an assistant coach. Bloody tall kid!
  19. Some interesting ovbservation here. Fritsch is with the mids playing a sweeping role off a hslf back qlong with gus and Baker. Interestingly Lewis is also with the mids doing stoppage work.
  20. Groups have split into forwards, backs and Mids.
  21. Looks fine to me? And as i type this hes just joined the main group with the backline group.
  22. Group has now split into 2 big groups with one closest to me doing 4 point kicking which then finishes in the middle group who kicks up to full forward. Clarry is one of those leading forwards along Smith and Tom McDonald. Lewis, Spargo, Gawn hardly missing targets. Dom, JKH, Pedi and Baker also kicking well.
  23. Group has now split into 5 small group just doing extra touch and groud ball. Vanders is a seriously big unit! Id love to know his actualheight because hes definitely alot taller then Wagner whos listed at 189cm tall. Btw no Billy Stretch here.
  24. Bit overcast and bit breezy mate but nothing threatening at all. Jeez poor JKH does a lot of hard running and spread for minimal reward.
  25. Skills has started off a bit sloppy.. Salem, Vanders, Tmac missing kicks. Fritz and just oozes serious class with his kicking skills. As i type this i must say there's been a bit too many sloppy kicks for my liking.. hopefully it improves as the session goes by.
