  1. That's Oliver's goal. Huge one on one win there.
  2. Melksham is a good sub option. Could easily come in and kick goals quickly.
  3. You guys able to give a report on how the players went? Who was the pick of the bunch.
  4. Any updates? This is no joke the last tweet from the Casey twitter account..
  5. Agree.
  6. I'd like to think fans wouldn't bat an eyelid on delisted players such as Baker who hasn't even played an AFL game for 2 years..
  7. Not even close by the sounds of it.
  8. One thing to take into account with Melksham being a sub is that he only needs 6 more games until his boys qualify for father son. Think you'll find that there will be games where we purely carry Melksham as a sub just to make sure he gets to 100 games.
  9. With a calf injury? Wow.. interesting.
  10. Well said. I love the Chandler inclusion. He's done his apprenticeship in the 2's and he's ready to go. I saw enough body of work at Casey ro know he'll be a good little player at AFL level, just needs games and experience. To everyone questioning the Laurie and McVee selections. Just remember when you're top 4 side and challenging for a flag you need to always find ways to continue to regenerate your playing list otherwise we'll find ourselves falling off the cliff like Hawthorn. Regardless whether Laurie deserves his opportunity or not we need to start getting games into the next wave of talent.

  12. Agree. This selection really has perplexed a lot on here. If there was a time to play Turner then this would have been perfect opportunity. If not now then when? Club needs to start thinking of life after May and how that may look in the future. Instead we bring in a 30 old with wonky knee off the back of being torn to shreds by a kid who was a part time VFL only a week prior to the St Kilda game. I think he would have handled Darcy well especially as he's got genuine grunt and leap to go with him in the air.
  13. That was pre knee Tommo.
  14. He also had Ben Brown kick 6 on him in one of the scratchies. This was confirmed by @picket fence. Even without May I was still confident. Now seeing Tomlinson playing I can't say I'm confident at all now.
  15. Sone massive overreaction going on here regarding the May news. I see this as a great challenge for us. We've been blessed with May staying fit since 2020, but now I see this as an opportunity for someone like Petty to show the competition by he should be spoken on the same level as May and Lever. Or perhaps someone like a Daniel Turner who can come in and grab their opportunity with both hands. Good top 4 teams still win games regardless if an individual goes down. Richmond lost Rance to knee reco back in the early rounds of 2019 and went on to win a flag. On the two debutants, I love it! We, including myself were desperate for fresh young talent last year to inject a bit of enthusiasm and spark into the line up. Well I'm glad to see it happen round 1 and regardless of whether Laurie deserves it or not it's a great opportunity to further improve our depth with these two now getting a taste of AFL action. Go well lads.
  16. Tommo got absolutely torn apart by a kid against St Kilda who was only signed a week prior to the SSP. He's cooked and should not be playing unless our backline is in complete crisis in which this instance, it isn't.
  17. I'd be incredibly shocked and bewildered if Joel Smith was his replacement considering he's had zero pre season and zero match fitness. For me it's either Daniel Turner steps up or they move McDonald back and bring in JVR/Schache as replacement.
  18. May in doubt.
  19. Glad we're not taking the risk. Season is a marathon, not a race.
  20. Schache? Could get thrown down back if their tall forwards start to get hold off us.
  21. His knee was heavily strapped and was proppy when he ran out into the ground before the bounce of the ball. He was absolutely not 100% fit and simply should not have played.
