Hunt has also signed on for one year
-
Fairly AvB had been promoted previously.
-
3 available, and two rookie spots.
-
Maybe Terlich will be either gone or downgraded and we pay out his contract.

Not entirely against the idea but I can't remember ever watching him (or noticing him) but his description on line sounds OK as a depth player. Not a long term solution but may see us through the next few years. My biggest downside is that I think he either needs to come in on a rookie spot or we need to delist a player to make way for him as we have 4 spots on the main list left, one for Harmes, one for pick three, one for pick 7, and I think the other needs to go to a speculative 18 year old at pick 50. I am a little torn about who I would delist from the current group and replace with him. Terlich is about the only one that comes to mind.

He also points to the fact nothing was recorded and monitored but hasn't put two and two together to realise that that why ASADA/WADA are taking so long is in part because they need to work out what has gone on when no one knows, even the bloke running it doesn't seem to have known!

Perhaps it should have stayed that way, would have this thread easier to understand!

Plenty of Prody private schools with latin on their pockets!

Good point, will be interesting to see if we get any home games against big drawing crowds, outside of Collingwood, this year or if we will be politely asked to deal with it as it is the price to pay for AFL support. Of course the AFL aren't clever enough to work out that without the bad draw, financially, we may not need the support, but then again maybe they like having a punching bag on hand.
-
Good to see the precedent for the season has been set again, we get a home game against a low drawing side so we can make little money, and the Pies travel at a time where they are well rested and it will impact them the least. Lets hope it isn't a sign of the whole draw ahead.

Didn't you mean hoc site est plena nerds

Except of course before Pedo was injured and Dawes played a game or two in the VFL and Roos said Dawes had to get some form to get back in the 1's.
-
Harsh on Trengove, without the injury he had the signs of being very good.

Agreed, Maybe shift Salem to the wing and Lumumba onto a HBF. Takes out one 0-50 and adds a 200+. With that changes it looks as follows (I stuffed the formatting and it didn't pick up N Jones as 200+, hence there are now 2 in that category). MFC HFC FFC WCE NM 0-50 12 1 1 4 4 51-100 2 4 7 4 3 101-150 4 6 9 10 6 151-200 2 3 0 4 4 200+ 2 8 5 0 5

I have had a look at the games played of the team you listed, which I think will be close, and compared it to the top four from 2015 as they played in the prelim finals. Results show just how lacking we are in experience, but that points to good times ahead if we can keep the group together. Also says west Coast are looking like the most likely of this bunch to have sustained success for the next 5 years or so with a big bunch of 100-150 gamers coming through, that may well be us in another 4 years or so (hopefully sooner). Games MFC HFC FFC WCE NM 0-50 14 1 1 4 4 51-100 2 4 7 4 3 101-150 4 6 9 10 6 151-200 2 3 0 4 4 200+ 0 8 5 0 5

Yep, my bad, forgot int eh excitement.

Going to blow my own trumpet again, wasn't far off in the whole thing, picks changed a little and the order of the trades changed but the outcome is about the same. TOOT TOOT.
-
10,43,64 for Bugg and 7. Hung onto the pick int he 20's as a bonus!!!!
-
The trade for mine was more along the lines of: Howe for 29 - fair trade Toump for Kennedy and pick 50 - probably did well there.

I have one other highlight of Salem that I cant get out of my head, it was against Sydney and was just a loose ball win over Buddy, Salem surprised Buddy, beat him at a ball in the air (not overhead but not on the ground), duck and weaved and left Buddy behind looking very second rate. Was only something small but was full of class and composure which I am not used to seeing in our team. Still makes me smile!

Points for next years academy talent.

If early draft picks in isolation mean nothing then late draft picks surely mean nothing as well, therefore the advantage of this trade is negligible. You also agree that we stuffed early picks due to our recruiting, not the picks themselves, that is my point, the recruiters failed, not the picks. We have improved our position this year and as such it is a win. How we use that position to our advantage is the next challenge.
-
Disagree, we can tell now that this is a good or bad deal, I think good. In a few years we will be able to tell if our recruiting staff were good with using the picks gained. The success of the players we draft is a reflection on the draft recruitment, not the trading we do.

It is taken from the tip of your fingers to the ground, otherwise he would be trying out pole vault with little need for the pole.

Just to blow my own trumpet I wasn't far off on this, missed the next year first round leaving and getting pick 10 and 43 in return. Now for the GWS trade to go through.
