Flying the flag
I've seen the original; 5th dot point reads: • AFL Grand Final hosting rights in combination with post-premiership uptick in retail (and other...) spending by 60,000 new WA Melbourne Demons forecast to add 2% to State GDP.

Fritsch on MMM: Hibberd "will* be a great replacement" for Smith. Goodwin, in presser, regarding "decision with Hunt this week*": it "comes down to what our risk appetite is like." (*my emphases)

Like it, Faulty! Although, if 'Demons' was a place (and who isn't finding it so in these both socially challenging but footbally exciting times?) then maybe it is correct?😁

My apologies putting you through that, WCW. You sound close to becoming WUW!. Uniquely - with the how-did-I-forget-him Stephen Febey - all the players in the squad have only a single vowel doing vowel duty in their names. Have a look back at the italicised bits of my posts (and at my "Of sorts" reply to you😉) A word-based team, as opposed to a categories-based one was inspired by your anagram one. I had to do something to get me back on track after my own 'just spill the damn beans!' moment!😄

...And Mazer snares the bronze! Sooo... Hey, 'the rest', get the 'tether' yet?

. p.s. Note Haymes paint tins. Been giving them a good go, too! Looking forward to 2 more weeks of 'All The Goals' - LOTS of them

That's it; time to put out the colours in my remote* Gippsland community! (* That's the way it guiltily feels compared to how you all in big urban centres are doing it right now...)

...and in the spirit of DS's last post, let's out them now, eh guys? Majak Daw. Jed Bews.

On recent evidence, seems to me that dealing with Geelong goal scoring rests significantly on preventing the uncontested centre clearances and the out-the-backs. These are team/structural things, which our boys will be well aware of and all well capable of delivering in light of those recent 'learnings'. So, presuming they do deal with them, I'm less concerned about who replaces who individually.

Demonstone's Tantalising Tuesday Time-Waster
Thanks for hanging in, folks. You'll have guessed from DS's and La Dee-vina's posts that they got it, in that order, this morning. Also, Lucifer, Mazer hasn't (yet). It's definitely not football related. Indeed it's not scattergories at all; more of a WCW-type puzzle. Have a look at my opening sentences. Or, if you like, paragraph.

Night Grand Final 2021
Our last 'grand final' win was at night, WCW, and boy did that feel like a grand final win for the success starved! Getting ahead of myself though...

Night Grand Final 2021
Per my earlier post, Jaded, look at twilight record😁

ESPN article - Past players inspiring the current team
'Balls' was my coach for a 'Play On The G' game (Jeff Hilton was the other) That's when a real connection between past and present - that I wasn't aware of, and which you might normally only associate with 'community' footy - struck me. From my experience, then, it's real...

Night Grand Final 2021
Sunset 6.14 in Perth, so an hour of 'daylight'. How's our 'twilight' record?

That's who LDVC meant, I'd say, but I think there's another one, now 81...

Demonstone's Tantalising Tuesday Time-Waster
Next, then - these twenty-three MFC men select themselves. Where's the 'tether'? (PM me) John Lord, Hassa Mann, Ken Emselle, Bob Gormly, Ted Lees, John Toll, Darryl Schwarz, Peter Weekes, Greg Wells, Ray Carr, Stephen Kerley, Kim Smith, John Tossol, Steven Stretch, Mark Bradly, Mark Jamar, Nick Smith, Kyle Cheney, Jack Watts, Max Gawn, Mitch Clisby, Ben Kennedy, Tim Smith. The squad of 23 is sufficient for a modern team but I doubt they'd compete; several have single-figure games tallies, and they wouldn't have all positions covered, I'd say. But it is a unique squad, consisting of players who debuted with the Dees since my childhood second favourite player, John Lord RIP, himself debuted. For nothing other than convenience, I've listed them in debut date order.
