  1. You have to remember the actual picks that were given up for those players. Lever was approximately pick 7 when looking at the points value and Gibbs was early teens I think. Adelaide definitely paid way overs on Gibbs. I would be rating Hogan and Lever the same, so I would say 4 or 5 plus a 2nd rd pick is fair value. The extra due to being in contract. There is no way we get 2 picks under 6. This was the Judd price and he was the best player in the comp. I hope I’m wrong but I thinks it’s wishful thinking on the 2 first rounders under 6.
  2. Won’t happen. I’d say pick 5 and a 2nd rounder
  3. Take your point it was a tad over the top but I just think if Hogan stays we lose Weed. Weed was already being courted by a couple of clubs. Granted Hogan is a better player but he also seems like he will go home at some stage, so may as well strike while the irons hot and get maximum impact.
  4. This argument keeps coming up and it’s just stupid. Do you actually think the Weed hangs around as insurance, he will request a trade straight away. What if any club gets a serious injury to the key forward. They play with 1 key goal forward and a mid size one. Not rocket science.
  5. In fairness the whole teams record against the better teams was poor
  6. This is not minimum requirement. Once you get drafted you are like any other player
  7. Out of contract, he can just walk.
  8. Agree. He asks for a trade and everyone thinks he is Eddy Betts. Fringe player at best.
  9. So you keep Hogan for insurance purposes?? Any team that loses a player will be hurt by it.
  10. I’d say Kent is a 50+ pick
  11. Early first rd for Billings, you have to be kidding. He is a 2nd rounder at best
  12. We gave up pick 10 and 15 for Lever. This is my point
  13. People need to stop comparing other trades. If Freo had pick 12 only, then they would offer that and next years first rounder but you are not going to get pick 5 and another first rounder. Shattered to lose him but he is not worth 2 picks under 5
  14. Pick 4 and steak knifes i’d Suggest
  15. I think we have shown in the last few years that we get the deal done if we are after a certain player. We all thought we paid overs for Melksham and also to a smaller degree Hibbo. I think we can agree they have both been enormous. The two 1st picks for Lever is looking reasonable after finishing 4th also. If we do happen to lose Hogan and get May in I think this makes us stronger now and is worth it for mine. I think Freo will throw in a little sweetener also. 2019 flag favs!
  16. I don’t think he is a free agent next year
  17. You’re saying that Vardy is a dangerous forward. Vardy is an absolute spud!
  18. Regardless if they have had a war chest, there is still a salary cap and only a small amount can be rolled over.
  19. The issue with this is that GC will be thinking the same thing for May. Im not sure 1 pick will get it done
  20. No way we get Brayshaw and May for Hogan
  21. Lewis had a horrible game on the weekend but his previous 2 finals were excellent. There were 16 players who were horrible on Saturday. In saying that I do think he had more bad games than good thid year and I dare say the conversation will centre around him being a depth player next year.
  22. Sorry you’re not a fan of stats but you’re commenting on a key forwards pressure numbers? This is exactly what he is in the side for to Lay tackles
  23. Who says we have a cap issue?
