That's just rubbish, it's not that most of our list can't perform at the required standard consistently, more so that we have lacked depth, we have had a good 10-15 players but the remaining 10 or so haven't been up to it.

It is a fair comparison because come game day they are forwards/outside midfielders playing very similar roles. I'm basing my comments on what we have seen so far, not what could happen in the future.

You really summed it up there, I much prefer Watts as a forward and I don't think he will ever be a midfielder, purely because he doesn't attack the ball. The best I have seen from Toumpas was also up forward, where he looked clean and used the ball well, but I can't see him playing in the midfield because of the same reason as Watts. For me at the moment, which I hope will change in 2015 because Toumpas has had a solid pre season , we shouldn't play both of them round 1.

I would put Pedo at half forward in the empty space because he can help Jamar with say 10% of the ruck work and Grimes in the back pocket for his experience.

Why would it be tongue in cheek, surely it would not be a huge difference to the fitness program to have the intra club on a Saturday instead of a Thursday...?

That doesn't make sense to me, An intra club match should be put on at a time which suits the general public and supporters, I would say if the fitness program costs the club a chance to gain supporters and memberships it should be slightly altered, surely a few Casey boys would have loved to play on Saturday in front of a crowd twice the size of a crowd on Thursday 3pm.

I know of two fence sitters who based on last years win/loss ratio are waiting until probably round 3 or however long it takes us to see what sort of football will be dished out this year. And I don't blame them for taking this approach.

Should draw in 5000 members one would think, If the likes of some new faces have good games early, Lumumba, Garlett, Hogan, it is very possible, whether or not it happens in 2015 is the question all melbourne supporters are waiting to be answered.

We really need Dawes to have a big year so that Hogan can be the second tall up forward.

Was Panozza playing in defence ? He always seems to be in the best for Casey.

If these two highly skilled players start to play to their potential we might start winning a game or two.

Its well and good to get into the right positions, but the ball carrier has seconds to sum up his options often at full tilt or with the opposition hot on their heels. Watts needs to demand the ball If he's not being noticed then he needs to change something.

Thats terrible mate, I feel even sorrier for the ars holes who gave him a hard time may they die slowly.

We are fortunate as a club we have other exciting young players who might get the opportunity now that Petracca is down, Toumpas, Salem, Brayshaw, Kent, JKH after all..... EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Yes, I agree, although I was surprised that Clisby was dropped and I always liked the way Magner played and thought he deserved more opportunity, but we continued to play others who would be satisfied with 5 disposals for an entire game, Magner was a ball magnet.

I wouldn't say they are big statements, both of these players and outside players who don't like much of the contested footy, Watts being an outside mid/forward, Toumpas being an outside mid/forward possibly half back. We have already seen much of what these guys can offer on game day.

These two are not new to the list , their form dates back further than this pre season.

Ask yourself why?

Early wins...that is what our club needs to boost memberships.

Its what we lost by not having Hogan playing last year and again the club will loose in more ways than one without Petracca.
