The No T$ No B$ Thread
Now Uncle, is it ever likely or in the realms of possibility that you are able to post without a smutty comment or innuendo. Is your private life completely bereft of beauty and sweetness. You do realise Geoffrey that your acting days have passed you by and everyone has tired of the same lines. Your early work was entertaining and amusing but it has become tedious and frankly embarrassingly. Perhaps itโs age or fatigue with living but you seem so half hearted these days. You donโt know whether to hang up your boots or keep trying to run around the park. You do sound depressed these days, listless and just hanging on. Or are you now only aching in the places where you used to play?

you have just passed the sanity test. those that remain lost the plot along time ago. they kid themselves that they are clever and have a view of life that is ...superior. that there is meaning in their meandering imaginations. its a weird kind of pseudo intellectualism when its not pseudo or intellectual.

whats that Daisy ? is that a site for kids ? I only read the classics, or writers from the continent or latin america. I don't even read my own work. I did not know that having fun was banned. what are you and Uncle doing if not having fun ? In Uncles case it is probably a bit more complicated than that.

But care a thought for the administrators. 50 per cent want it closed down 50 per cent donโt. The administrators close the thread and then get criticised by the other half. I think their position is completely understandable.

Its so simple, if you don't like a thread don't go there. If you don't like music or a tv program, don't tune in or turn it off.

More grey hair, skin cancers, poor food, crocodiles, hillbillies, murderers, distasteful objects (big pineapples) prentending to be tourist icons, real estate shonkys , more Rakes than should be allowed in any jurisdiction, strange dialects of language, misuse of grammar, slow speech, slow everything and worst of all, bananas.

Nadal and Federer. A top spin forehand across court from Pro Dee and then a backhand slice down the line from Binman.

No Biff, that pastime is only for those who have over indulged in illicit substances. Not my cup of tea. Shared boarding houses was not my thing, as I was always moving house to maintain my open marriages. As I said before, Old Uncle Bitters is just a figment of his former self. A sad old dog, desperate for relevance when everyone has moved on.

Daisy and Red, dedicated committed warriors keeping this thread afloat. Hope your boat Red is more buoyant. How about a bit of interesting case law Red or Daisy you must be a guy with a huge array of interests. Can we share something other than banana or avocado stories. Otherwise dear old OD will be telling us about a banana smoothy or banana on his muesli. I think I would rather read Uncleโs lurid stories so things must be getting desperate.

2019 Leadership Group
Agreed Adam, sensible comments as always. Agree with your nominations.. Lever, is impressive even captaincy material. However, I think 4 or 5 are enough in the group. I would allow May to get a season under his belt and probably Lever.

Ron, without rehashing the Lewis argument, I doubt your last sentence thoughts. He has great capability in regard to on-field generalship, but we saw just too many signs that his physical attributes have significantly waned. There were too many occasions over the season when his mistakes and slow legs cost the team. Running parallel with Jordyn's physical decine is the rise of a significant number of younger players that we need to invest in. I hope that Jordyn will make the decision ahead of the club and go out with his reputation intact. By all means, the Club can utilize his experience and skills off-field,

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Are there any lessons in the Hogan affair, in regard to drafting and management? My guess is that the Club managed his issues as best they could. However, at the end of the day, the Club invested an enormous amount of time and money into keeping him at the club. More than most. It is hard to argue that his performance over that time was a good return on investment. Particularly now that he has left the club and will ply his trade elsewhere. Freo may capitalize on that MFC investment or become frustrated with their lack of return. The history of Scully and now Hogan suggest that Clubs will think very carefully about investing big bucks in young draftees. Paying top dollar for experienced players with an established track record is another matter and these guys will continue to attract top dollar.

You just can't help yourself. Humility is underrated but you would naturally disagree. Curious that we all support the same footy side. But of course as they say, sometimes the worst supporters are your own.
