  1. Viney, out, abblett in, we go into the game as underdog's. We play our best footy when we are underdog's. I want viney back when he is 100% and not a day before!
  2. Yeah, I'm with you there. Just so many winnable games that were dropped. I had us top 5 but those winnable games cost us big time by the end. Goody needs to eradicate this if we are to go anywhere.
  3. Are you sure this was originally written by a Collingwood supporter? It is an interesting argument that I tend to agree with. For the record, I think lever is a solid player and I'm aware we paid overs in terms of salary and at the trade table but that doesn't mean that he won't bring success to the club. Lynch is a huge get for anyone, but at cool million a season I think he will certainly eat up cap space wherever he goes.
  4. Howe was incredibly marketable for us before crossing to the pies. Kids all over the AFL loved him. Right now it has to be Gawn. Opposition fans love him, and his game backs up his media work. I think Trac is being elevated as the hood ornament for the club. His game needs to go up a notch or two before he overtakes Gawn as the face off the MFC.
  5. Went with Bailey but Melksham is making essendon fans eat bucket loads of humble pie! For this reason I'm stoked for him that he has taken his game to another level in red and blue.
  6. Doing a Richmond= no injuries and getting off at the mrp/tribunal. Given our records for both it's not likely to happen. We filled a hospital with key players last season, and any time our guys got near some trouble they paid the price with a suspension. Richmond got lucky, and if we are to pinch a flag then we need some luck to go our way.
  7. Nibs is a guy who can still develop his game. His footy smarts should only increase with experience, and that could lead to him being a very tough matchup for opposing defenders. He doesn't waste it much, and has a good goal sense and is fantastic at finding higher conversion opportunities for the team. As for the Billy talk, I have not given up on him yet. I'm just unsure of why he isn't progressing.
  8. I don't care what Robbo says. There ARE NOT 8 better sides than Melbourne in the league. I expect them to play finals and they should. This is a better side than last season, and barring any horrible injuries there are zero excuses for not playing finals. Robbo and all of the so called experts can suck a fat one when the Dee's play finals in 2018.
  9. I was excited by the highlights package. Has a good sense for the goals and has a good pair of hands. He was good at Casey and I honestly thought he would take a bit longer to make the jump to the AFL. He might get there quicker than first thought. It's still early days but signs look good.
  10. Would love trac to signs on long term for two reasons. 1. He is a gun and will be an elite talent. 2. We get to rub it into saints supporters his whole career because they passed on him!!
  11. If port implodes and misses finals, and we get in and at least win week one, we could be a preferred landing spot for wines. I think if it's money he wants he will go to norf..
  12. Put all fit draftees and rookies in the squad, then fill the rest from your for senior squad. No Sense Fielding a strong team for the jlt
  13. This goes off topic a bit, but I wouldn't mind seeing retro heroes being put on tee-shirt lines. The gawn and Jones nerd tees were a hot commodity last season. Would love a flower, stynes, barassi and Lyon tee to be created.
  14. I'm going to need some more information on point 8........ Probably only thing I've done was wear my Dee's jumper through Europe.
  15. I have seen Robbo present many times and he has been spot on. Our players have bad days, don't see why off field personalities are afforded the same luxury. We can't be perfect all the time....
  16. A stack of fringe players playing for a new contract. Spots will be hard to come by, we should see some of these fringe players go up a gear. Interesting times ahead.
  17. I don't think our list is good enough to win the flag...then again I thought the same of Richmond the year before and the dogs the year before that. Need some luck and things to go your way during the season, things that nobody can predict. Let's just hope lady luck decided on the red and the blue for a change.
  18. Got to wish Colin luck. No matter where he coaches it's a good sign. Better that then causing trouble.
  19. I say Salem every year and I'm always wrong. So, I'm going with a smokey and going Dion Johnstone. I think he is someone who could break into the team late in the year and become an x factor for us. Footnote: I'm always wrong when picking break out players.
  20. Petty will be alright. I wouldn't read too much into things being missed on the website, given this is the same club that missed pre season camp because it was all too hard. Maybe the I.T team are a bit precious too.
  21. Rookie list yes. Primary list no.
  22. I just want someone who can hit a target at a high rate. Far too many players on our list that are average kicks.
  23. He is one of the better options available.....that says more about the delisted pool than it does about him. I would have no issues with a rookie list spot, but a side like gold coast could use some cheap vets.
  24. Watts going puts pressure on Pedo for the forward ruck role. If Pedo falls out of form or gets hurt Declan could make a case for that role in the squad. I think Tmac will play that role a bit but he is not an ideal ruckman. Dec could be in for a good 2018.
