Midfield Rotation Pact
You have 3 potentially elite players here. You rotate them anywhere and they will have an impact.

Josh Wagner
On talent Wagner isn't best 22.Based on current form he is. He will play until his form dip's, or someone with more talent builds stronger form and passes him. I just want to win games of footy, and right now he is helping us do that.

3 Good Things Vs North Melbourne
1. Salem building some form. Has some mongrel in him and he is a great ball user. If we are looking for that player to take a leap that will make us more dangerous, it could be Salem. 2. Hogan's return. Easy to forget that 2017 was a personal and professional horror show for Jesse. He has responded better than most could with some outstanding early season form. His work rate is Nick Riewoldt like, and we all know what kind of career Nick had. 3. Contented footy. We are a hard side to win contested footy against, and I still think we can improve. Might end up being the best contested team in the comp by the end of season.

Changes vs Hawthorn R4
I will be the first to say that I haven't watched any of Hawthorn this year, so planning for their lineup is really guesswork for me. What I will say is that Gawn is going to need someone capable of taking some of the ruck work. He was cooked by the end of the game, and needs a capable backup. Can we find room for Pedo?

My 3 word player analysis v North Melbourne
Salem?? He was involved in everything! I actually like where is form is heading.

GAME DAY - ROUND 3
I thought the saints roos game was the worst game I would see this season. I was wrong. We are putrid today!

GAME DAY - ROUND 3
I'm drinking a huge mug of coffee...will switch it to scotch if we drop this one.

Match preview and team selection - Round 3
I think the Frost v Waite matchup is a really interesting one. Wherever Frost is played (forward or back) I can't see Waite keeping up with his pace. Frost could be a massive headache for North if he can run and carry out of the backline. Maybe that forces North to play Waite back to reduce Frost rebounding out of the backline? Either way this is a really key matchup and holds a bit of interest for me. Looking forward to it.

Coburg Lions v Casey Scorpions - VFL Round 1
Will be interested to see who puts their hand up for selection. Keen to see if Spargo makes an impact.

Be Patient with Lever
You don't get to play the patience card when you sign a contract for flobitygillion dollars. If you get paid the big bucks, you gotta play the big games.

Pedersen v Weideman this weekend
Pedo gets one more chance against his old mob. If he can't make an impact I think it's fair to say we move towards investing in Weeds. I would love Weeds to earn his sports, but with tmac out we may as well use it to get some experience in to him.

How do we STOP Ben Brown?
- 2017 Player Reviews: # 40 Patrick McKenna
I was thinking about him the other day. Lewis and Vince are starting to show their age, and Jonesy is probably only a few years behind them. I do wonder if he is going to be a depth option this season, and push for a spot late in the season. Apparently he was a very good junior talent, although I have never really seen him play. He is an utter mystery to many of us. I hope he tears the house down in the VFL this season- Changes v North Melbourne
I think Frost needs to come into the side to work as another option against Ben Brown. Sideshow Bob kills us every game, and Waite still requires a solid body down back. Oscar will need some height and athleticism to help him out, and Frost brings that. Out: Bugg, Wagner In: Frost, Brayshaw I would take Bernie and play him up forward to replace Bugg, shift Hunt back to replace Vince then rotate Brayshaw in the middle.- 3 Good Things v Brisbane
1. Clayton Oliver lookslike he will be elite. He has the best hands in the AFL and looks like to be the best player in his draft year. 2. Gawns work when the ball is at ground level. He is a threat all over the ground, not to be underestimated. This makes us that much harder to play against when you have a 200cm guy who is willing to get down and dirty when the ball is there to be won. 3. Forwrds kicking bags. Jeffy and Hoges getting it done. Take the pressure of the midfield having to kick a winning score.- The Jack Watts in 2018 Thread
- Goodwin says Viney & TMac out for 6-8 Weeks
Tmac and Viney out really hurt, but it gives us a few weeks to rotate some others through the middle and see if someone can nail compete for a spot in the front 6. Shattered they are out, but if we can manage to get by without them they become very handy mid season additions It's early, but we can't really afford another key injury.- Caro digs up old wounds of Camp Fiasco on eve of season.
Good article, but the timing of it is horrible. Just comes off as a nothing article given the fact this topic is in the rear view mirror.- Injury List - Season 2018
Not even round 1 and Vanders is still wearing the indefinite tag. It feels like he has been injured for more time than he has been fit. Its going to be a long road back, feel for the bloke. McKenna seems to be in the same boat, always under the injury cloud. I do wonder if either will make it on the park this season.- What the Fritsch
I was excited by the highlights package. Has a good sense for the goals and has a good pair of hands. He was good at Casey and I honestly thought he would take a bit longer to make the jump to the AFL. He might get there quicker than first thought. It's still early days but signs look good.- Christian Petracca declares his loyalty (2018)
- Ollie Wines
- Retro gear
This goes off topic a bit, but I wouldn't mind seeing retro heroes being put on tee-shirt lines. The gawn and Jones nerd tees were a hot commodity last season. Would love a flower, stynes, barassi and Lyon tee to be created.- 2018 Contracts and List Details
A stack of fringe players playing for a new contract. Spots will be hard to come by, we should see some of these fringe players go up a gear. Interesting times ahead. - 2017 Player Reviews: # 40 Patrick McKenna
