  1. I will be the first to say that I haven't watched any of Hawthorn this year, so planning for their lineup is really guesswork for me. What I will say is that Gawn is going to need someone capable of taking some of the ruck work. He was cooked by the end of the game, and needs a capable backup. Can we find room for Pedo?
  2. Salem?? He was involved in everything! I actually like where is form is heading.
  3. I thought the saints roos game was the worst game I would see this season. I was wrong. We are putrid today!
  4. I'm drinking a huge mug of coffee...will switch it to scotch if we drop this one.
  5. I think the Frost v Waite matchup is a really interesting one. Wherever Frost is played (forward or back) I can't see Waite keeping up with his pace. Frost could be a massive headache for North if he can run and carry out of the backline. Maybe that forces North to play Waite back to reduce Frost rebounding out of the backline? Either way this is a really key matchup and holds a bit of interest for me. Looking forward to it.
  6. Will be interested to see who puts their hand up for selection. Keen to see if Spargo makes an impact.
  7. Bugg must have nudes of goody on his phone. Only way I can make sense of him staying in the side.... Love the Frost inclusion, but do hope he is down back and not forward.
  8. You don't get to play the patience card when you sign a contract for flobitygillion dollars. If you get paid the big bucks, you gotta play the big games.
  9. Pedo gets one more chance against his old mob. If he can't make an impact I think it's fair to say we move towards investing in Weeds. I would love Weeds to earn his sports, but with tmac out we may as well use it to get some experience in to him.
  10. I was thinking about him the other day. Lewis and Vince are starting to show their age, and Jonesy is probably only a few years behind them. I do wonder if he is going to be a depth option this season, and push for a spot late in the season. Apparently he was a very good junior talent, although I have never really seen him play. He is an utter mystery to many of us. I hope he tears the house down in the VFL this season
  11. I think Frost needs to come into the side to work as another option against Ben Brown. Sideshow Bob kills us every game, and Waite still requires a solid body down back. Oscar will need some height and athleticism to help him out, and Frost brings that. Out: Bugg, Wagner In: Frost, Brayshaw I would take Bernie and play him up forward to replace Bugg, shift Hunt back to replace Vince then rotate Brayshaw in the middle.
  12. 1. Clayton Oliver lookslike he will be elite. He has the best hands in the AFL and looks like to be the best player in his draft year. 2. Gawns work when the ball is at ground level. He is a threat all over the ground, not to be underestimated. This makes us that much harder to play against when you have a 200cm guy who is willing to get down and dirty when the ball is there to be won. 3. Forwrds kicking bags. Jeffy and Hoges getting it done. Take the pressure of the midfield having to kick a winning score.
  13. Bugg- only kicks points! He is not the least bit dangerous around goal. Honestly his shot conversion has to be the worst on the list.
  14. Goodwin will be sacked mid season if this keeps up.
  15. Bigg might be an ordinary kick but he finds a way to get involved in the play. Hannan was invisible last week. Tyson for Maynard is a no brainier.
  16. Goodwin - in the hotseat?? We got outcoached. They forced lever to play 1/1 and cleverly had toohey as a spare man running out of the backline. We stuggled to combat some of these strategies. When Scott made a move, it worked. Goody needs a few good wins under his belt pronto or he will be on the front page of the hun with the footy journos flinging butt mud at him. I think Frost is a better option than Wagner. His run would have been something we could have used today.
  17. Although, the goal saving tackle was great from Wagner!
  18. Josh Wagner looking like Josh Wagner. Jake Lever....also looking like Josh Wagner.
  19. Wattsy was ok. Good on him . Port aren't going anywhere so we should stop talking about their players.
  20. Tmac and Viney out really hurt, but it gives us a few weeks to rotate some others through the middle and see if someone can nail compete for a spot in the front 6. Shattered they are out, but if we can manage to get by without them they become very handy mid season additions It's early, but we can't really afford another key injury.
  21. I'm thinking about heading down there.
  22. Good article, but the timing of it is horrible. Just comes off as a nothing article given the fact this topic is in the rear view mirror.
  23. They must be stalking us. My fox footy link had a picture of of Kate Upton in a bikini..... they clearly have been watching my browsing history.
  24. Not even round 1 and Vanders is still wearing the indefinite tag. It feels like he has been injured for more time than he has been fit. Its going to be a long road back, feel for the bloke. McKenna seems to be in the same boat, always under the injury cloud. I do wonder if either will make it on the park this season.
