  1. That Collingwood would look to replace a young tall with a young tall. Plenty of chatter from Collingwood fans about it. Not sure you will get anything concrete at this stage of the year.

Jake knows where the goals are, and is a challenge to match up on given he is good body on body and has a good tank. Really starting to build some good form.
  3. Brendon Bolton - won't sleep tonight His team got picked apart at the seams. Great performance from the Dee's, insipid performance by Carlton players.
  4. We have some very good players of our own that are without a contract next season. How about we worry about signing them before raping and pillaging the rest of the league. Lot's of mail on Weeds to Collingwood given they might be losing Moore.

VFL game was also impressive, and I think Pedo could come in for Smith to help Gawn in the ruck. You can't ask Gawn to take as much of the ruck as he has been rucking in that heat. He will need some more help, and Pedo's engine isn't too bad. Smith was Ok, I'm more thinking for team balance a second ruck is going to help in the heat. Spargo just did enough, but could be due for the dreaded first year "rest" week. Bailey got it already, and Spargo might be rested.

OH dear God we look like an average football side. Hopefully the quarter time break allows us to hit the reset button.
  7. I know Bernie has his haters on here but he is ahead of Smith and Vanders. I still think Pedo has the edge over Weeds, but I get why the club is playing him. We need games into Weeds to try and get him developing as a ruck forward for next season.
  8. I think Hunt is an option provided he can keep developing. I think Harmes, Nibbler, Brayshaw seem to be players goody likes to position tinker with. Maybe goody makes one of those players a general down back.
  9. When a club like Essendon shiz the bed like they have, heads were bound to roll. Neeld will be the first scapegoat for season 2018. Probably more to come. Some big issues down at the bombers.
  10. Has no fear! Salem has arrived, and his best footy is still to come.
  11. Trac - nowhere near himself He is either injured or out of form. He needs to turn it on against the Blues.

Even as an armchair coach it's hard to predict who will make way for Viney. Let's be real, you are pretty stiff to get dropped after an 11 goal win. If Viney wasn't out there wouldn't be changes next week. Happy with the current team, but Viney has to come back in.

Can someone please get David neitz on tinder and let him have at it with the single population of Melbourne!!!
  14. Honestly I do think it has been marked. We hasn't been too bad at Casey and could have played ahead of weed based on his Casey performances. Given this isn't the case I think the club has decided he won't be around next season.

The list is starting to become quite versatile. For an outside jet I think we go to the draft for that need. The rest of the engine room looks good.
  16. Joe is struggling right now. He might have a better career if he were to get out of Essendon at get a fresh perspective on the game. Doubt that happens but something isn't right. He is a good young player.
  17. Weeds role is simple: get exposure, learn and get better at the top level. His leash seems pretty long. He isn't best 22, but Pedo's card is marked so they need to figure out if Weeds can cut it as the ruck forward guy heading into next season. If not we draft or trade for a player who can fill that need. If we keep winning, he will keep playing.

I just don't think we are that sort of side yet. We will crush sides when we tidy up our forward 50 entries and reduce skill errors when rebounding from defense. The talent is there, we just aren't that side yet.
  19. Why does anyone care about Watson? Honestly he was one of the worst coaches of his generation. Let him stroke it over the saints, doesn't change the result.

Gus is a smart footballer. I hope he can stay injury free and play some more footy like today. Great game today, reminded everyone why he was a top 3 pick!!
  21. Would be terrible for the game. Place kicking is its own skill, and modern day players to train for it so many of them would see a drop off in conversion. Not to mention how boring it would be to watch a place kick being set up. If you can't kick goals, then someone else in the TAC cup will take your place the following year.

Turns 28 at seasons end. Maybe has 2-3 years left. If he was 22-23 age profile I would be keen.
  23. This game is becoming harder by the day. Our injury list is far more telling than theirs. No Viney, Trac or Salem. And Hogan is under a cloud and could miss. Honestly this is a dangerous game for us.
  24. We are an easy target. If you are going to throw shade at Collingwood then you are going to cop backlash from a large and fiery supporter base. There aren't as many Dee's fans around, and we are a downtrodden supporter base. Throwing shade at the Dee's comes with no risk or consequences. Same works for compliments. You compliment the pies, more viewers, readers and patrons. We are a minority supporter base, there is little value in throw away compliments to our tean. If we want compliments we need to earn them the hard way, win and win well.

Has a great long kick on him. He is damaging if he has the ball kicking into forward 50. Rarely wastes it by foot.
