Nothing sexier than a Ginger Sinatra!

You know what i like about this draft, the who is on 25th is likely to be as good as who is on 1st given the depth of this draft. Given our poo form this year, we could land 2 top 25 picks and really launch into the next generation. I have been saying this for a few weeks now, I do not think the dees will finish last, so by pick 2 or 3, we will have to see who is on the cards for selection. Watts, Naita or Rich are great, so I would be happy with any of those blokes at pick 2 or 3.

I love Yze. Our fowardline is rubbish, surely he can push back in at some stage. IF he doesn't, I wish him all the best elsewhere, he is a legend of this club, and he will not be soon forgotten. He deserves a farewell game, to not so so would be a disgrace to the great man.
-
He deserves a week or two off injured or not. Someone else can carry the team. Personally, I think the dees are going to send a very young team across to the west. I am getting the feeling the dees are planning to play a similar season wind down to the eagles. Not that i am complaining, watching the kids develop is great for the future of the club.

Like Nathan, he gets the job done. Alas, he will be on the table during the trade period, and there are a few clubs (ie Carlton) who would like to make a finals push, but have a weak backline. He will not be sought after, but will be a solid enough player to be dealt. 3-4 clubs would like to have him, and the dees will not be asking for a big return. He may have played his last game for the dees.

The dees will go after Watts in the draft, and he will be groomed as a forward. Warnock will be high in the trade list. If we drafted Naita and Warnock, the broom would sweep out some of the ruckman. If watts is drafted, they will not put Warnock in charge of the #1 ruckman role, allowing Jamar one more season to prove himself. I love White, I just get the feeling he will retire. Aside from the love of the game, he has nothing much to play for, we will be lucky ot make finals over the next 2 years, he may as well see what other options he has (a stonger club, or media role). Meeson should be cut, he is not up to it.

Frawls has great pace for his height, and would be a great asset of the flank. There is plenty of room for him in this side, and he has plenty of time to develop and become something special. Our backline stocks are the best they have ever been. Frawls fits into this team, and maybe, just maybe we will no longer have to use bruce and green as makeshift backman, as we now have a strong bond down back, and Rivers to be the floating backman player (ala green, bruce and from the past Bizzell). Now we can rebuild the forward line via this draft. All looking peachy if you ask me, and yes, Frawls will be a part of it all.

Why would we not want to win? I am happy with a top 3 pick, so winning one more game (two if WC tank it) is fine by me. Beat the Dockers, I do not want another wooden spoon to go on the record books.

"for whom the BELL tolls.... time marches on"

HOW DARE THEY! There are only ONE celtics!! West Sydney Pirates would be a good name, seeing as though they are robbing the upcoming drafts.
-
Our list is as raw as any, and we have a raw spine which will no doubt put us ahead of the dons in the rebuilding stakes. Both have recently lost long stadning leaders, so whoever can raise a strong leadership group first will be the team that charges to the finals first. Given that the dees have a young core, and the dons are still looking to the likes of lucas, lloyd for leadership, you would have to say the dees are in a better spot. The upcimg draft is said to be deep, if we can land a few top prospects, we will be looking great for a future assault on the flag. Marric and Grimes have yet to lace up their boots yet, it is nice having a few aces up our sleeves.

We should be looking at cast offs if they are from the most dominant team in the game. The cats have had little injuries, meaning some of their fringe players would be very handy to have, and given the cats lack of cap room, you would think they would come at a bargain price. Warnock is the main target. He will come cheap, and he has lots of development left, making him a very handy prospect.

I think the dees could push the dogs. Many people in the "football know" have melbourne goig down from around 40-65 points. I think the dees will keep it close, 18 point loss to the dees. That said, I hope we win. I do not care about pick 1 anymore. I want to see the next gen rise up an win! (still would like a bottom 3 pick)

They will tank. I honestly am of the belief we will not finish last, as we are starting to build some progress and the weagles seem content to lose every week. the tigers are ripe for the smacking without richo, yet I am almost willing to bet my weeks pay on them winning this game. Eagles should win by 4 goals. If they don't, they have tanked this round.

Is it just me, or does the 1933 logo like like Chris Kattan from SNL?? Frawls, keep up the good work (try and work in a picture of Allen Jackovich's mullet!)

The UPSIDE is here! (In response to my original post)

The Wrath could not make the cut? I am comtemplating changing my name to Grgic_is_god. At least thay way I can expect to not get a run.

Warnock was heading the "delist" list 2 months ago, now that says something. He looks a sure thing down back. Dunny is an interesting one, as we knew he would develop. Who would of thought he would develop into the tallest tagger/run with player in the afl? What an asset he has become! Credit to him for reinventing himself as something special. Garland reeeeeeeeeeeeks of future All Australian Backman. He reads the play like yoda! He just knows where the footy is going. I think had PJ not broken his hand, he would have taken another step to a level where kids would be putting the #11 on the back of their jumper. He still has not hit his full potential, so it will be exciting to watch him grow a little more as a player as this season closes.

Out: Davey In: Tanking If he is not injured, then this is clearly a tanking tactic. The doggies were going to be hard enough to beat with flash in the side, without him makes it a near impossible task. I am all for it, rest the Stars and play the kids. Who knows, the kids may just rise up and give the dogs a bloody fright!

I was one who thought Belly could cut out a spot in this demon lineup. Over the past few seaons we have had a no name backline, and there was every chance he was going to cement a spot due to the lack of stability we had down back. All of a sudden we have kids coming out of 2s locking down key roles in the backline. At the end of last season, 2 of our promising backs were Nathan Carroll and Daniel Bell. These are now the two most likely players to be traded come seasons end. If Belly cannot carve up the 2s, then he has little chance of breaking into the new generation of demon backmen.

Wonna would need to pull out a few 6-7 goal outings to get him over, this is unlikely given that we are smashed most weeks. If he kicked a few bags in the next few weeks, I would put some money on him for sure.
-
Morton in for Mclean. If Jnr Mac is fit and ready to go, we should find a spot for him. Doggies are a quick team, Buckley will retain his spot. One of our bigger guys could miss. At this stage in the year, we need to have a look at everyone. Newton has not done enough for a call up, that said, we need to test him out sooner rather than later, as Bails will want to see who he wants to retain for 2009.

Cleveland indians Logo is close to Weets, no doubt! RE: Star Wars: Jabba the Hutt- Stewie Dew (he ate all the PIES!!!)

He is a gun, but what good is it for the future of a club is a stalwart holds on to play another 25-30 games? We need to build a list, not only to get members, but to survive. Love Yze, but the future has to take place now, we do not want to repeat what carlton did, and dwell at the bottom for 6 seasons. 2-3 seasons, then bang, finals! Wont happen if we give games to the nearly departed. Deserves a better send off than to call it quits a season early, but the club has been good to him, it is his turn to put the club first.

I had a dream once........lets just say Pam Anderson and I have not yet met. When I boast about having a visit from Pam, then start to worry about Millzy becoming the skipper! They will give it to Greeny.
