What a win congrats Casey well deserved. Loved Weid's game. I think he's found his spot. Hard to see him get in front of Grundy but he's there if Gawn or Grundy go down then he's good insurance. Loved Joel.Smith game. Think he will make a difference in our back half. Can play tall and small which is a rare attribute with any player, more deserving of a spot in the team than Rivers. Loved Chandler's game too good not to be at AFL level should take the underperforming Spargo's role. Woewodin I think he's our next wingman in line. I think he's just got it would be surprised if he didn't play senior level next year, not sold on Laurie or Howes need to get a bit more of the ball to be up for senior selection. Love Turner his 2 smothers were brilliant. Great cover if a backman goes down or they play Petty forward. Fantastic to see 2 great stalwarts in White a deserved winner of the Norm Goss medal and Munro get rewarded with a premiership.

Well Spargo had a very ordinary year, so there is a spot there. How long can they persist with Spargo it's been a year. He's a must keep for mine his pace is something we lack. The player that must get a game has been knocking heavily on the door in the last half of the year is Chandler superb in the Grand Final and his last half of the year was just as good. If Melbourne are serious Spargo has to start at Casey and earn his spot again.

We will never win a Brownlow due to Clarry and Trac taking votes off each other.

AFLW RD4 Team | Duo of debutants (melbournefc.com.au) Campbell and Mackin debut. Gay is also in. Suspensions to Ivey and Harris and Johnson is out for personal reasons.

That’s what they said about Goodes look how he turned out 198 cm indigenous players don’t come around often plenty of upside

McVee has signed

I agree with you on Spargo had a very ordinary year, don't know what he gives us. Disagree on Neal-Bullen makes mistakes but is a heart and soul player, you know what you are gonna get from him. Wouldn't give up on Rivers yet had a very ordinary 22 only in his 3rd year. Agree with you on Hunt don't know why they signed him again. Ordinary user of the ball no real football smarts. Sparrow didn't come on like he was supposed to was lucky to be in the team, thought Jordon was better but they chose to drop Jordon. Salem was nearly AA in 21 had a terrible 22 I'm hoping like everyone else that he played injured. I think you have to change at least 5 players from your best 22 every year. We only changed 2 this year and that was Hunt and Melksham for McDonald and Bowey. I think that's a reason why we struggled at the end of the year not the only reason but one reason. Too complacent. My best 22 has Bowey, Jordon, van Rooyen, McDonald, Grundy, Chandler, Bedford and J.Smith as fresh faces replacing Hibberd, Hunt, Jackson, B.Brown, Sparrow, Melksham, Rivers and Spargo. That might be too many changes but I think it's a start better than playing Goodwin's same olds. If I had to change 5 it would be B: Lever, May, Bowey HB: Brayshaw, Petty, Salem C: Langdon, Petracca, Jordon HF: Neal-Bullen, van Rooyen, Pickett F: Fritsch, McDonald, Gawn FOLL: Grundy, Oliver, Viney IC: Harmes, Sparrow, Spargo, Rivers

Is it 23 or 22? Jordon didn't spend anytime on the ground. Dogga you're a champ will be sorely missed.
-
Cadman V Jefferson will be interesting. Is it on Kayo?
-
How will they be able to get both Ashcroft and Fletcher?

This is the squad I'd like to see. B: Lever, May, Bowey HB: Brayshaw, Petty, Salem C: Langdon, Petracca, Jordon HF: Neal-Bullen, van Rooyen, Pickett F: Fritsch, McDonald, Gawn FOLL: Grundy, Oliver, Viney IC: Harmes, Bedford, Chandler, J.Smith SUB: Rivers Casey B: Hunt, Turner, Hibberd HB: Emile-Brennan, Gruzewski, Rivers C: Howes, Dunstan, Woewodin HF: Melksham, Jefferson, Spargo F: Moniz-Wakefield, B.Brown, Keeler FOLL: Weideman, Sparrow, Laurie IC: Tomlinson, McVee, D.Smith, Rosman Pick 8 (Dunkley trade) Jefferson Pick 11 Freo's pick Keeler pick 34 Gruzewski Grundy (future first rounder) Cat B rookie Emile-Brennan, Cat A rookie Rosman I couldn't find highlights of Emile-Brennan. I got highlights of the rest including Cadman who I think we will miss out on.

He's never been a rookie.

Good to see that Bedford should stay. He's in my best 22 that says it all.

Prediction - 2022 Phantom Drafts | Page 8 | BigFooty Forum Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide: Top draft prospects' August ranking (afl.com.au) Had a look at these 2. Cadman might just be gone before we get a pick. Jefferson is the 1 I'm interested in 7 goals V WA. Others we could be interested in are Phillipou, Hustwaite, Barnett, Gruzewski, and Keeler. I think we will go tall with our first 2 picks. Not sure of who we will go for at pick 34, any suggestions? pick 41 I think we will pick up Emile-Brennan.
-
There not allowed to give away their first round pick.
-
Werribee got 3 and never made the finals.

I'd want at least 1 pick in the top 10. -

We can go 38 and 4 that's what we will do. I never thought of Brisbane desire for Ashcroft. What do you think that could get us? Pick 13 doesn't do us much good. -
2022 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS 2022
WERRIDEE replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we will use 32 and 41. 41 maybe on Emile-Brennan. We will have 2 first round picks for Jackson 8 (Dunkley trade) and 11 ( Lobb trade) would be best case scenarios can't see West Coast geting in on the act and if Bedford goes pick 22 will hopefully suffice. If he stays we won't be using an extra pick. I predict 8,11, 32 and 41 (for Emile- Brennan). Hopefully Collingwood are up for a future first rounder if not it has to be pick 22 for Bedford. Can't see us getting any lower. Whispering Jack can you get us some mock drafts? -
Massive game for both clubs Brisbane have been in hot form as has Melbourne. Harris's suspension will hurt. It pains me to say this but I think Brisbane will win by a goal if Harris was playing I'd predict Melbourne by a goal that's how important she is. Possible team B: Birch, Gillard HB: Gay, Lampard, Heath C: Mithen, Purcell, Paxman HF: Hore, Bannan, Sheriff F: D.Pearce, Zanker FOLL: L.Pearce, West, Hanks IC: Goldrick, Fitzsimon, Chaplin, Johnson, Wilson

Haris is a big blow been in good form and is a big body up forward. Ivey has given us nothing would probably been dropped this week anyhow.
-
If goes to another club I will boo him. You don't get away with leaving Melbourne unless you have won a premiership in my eyes.
-
Will you boo Dogga? I can't see myself booing a premiership player. I'll boo Howe til the cows come home and if Bedford leaves he will be booed too. Just interested in the demonlanders thoughts?

Southport made the grand final and only got 1. How Mitch.Brown didn't make it is beyond me?
