  1. There is no advantage to having a sub versus a 5th interchange. If a player is injured, the difference between 4 and 5 on the bench is negligible. The advantage of having 5 on the bench is a young player doesn't lose fitness/continuity in his game and need to go to the VFL and train after a game at 11pm at night
  2. He is known to go missing over Easter weekend though

After round 10, if we are 3-7 (which is a real possibility given the second half of 2024), it will be fascinating to see if the club still backs in Goody or if he is shown the door I would love to know what the clubs' expectations are of Goody and the team in 2025 I would say if we are 3-7 and there are still issues around player discontent (and not a dozen key injuries), that he is gone
  4. Agreed it's not a bad list of mids But you needs stars in the midfield to win flags and in a few years we need to have blokes there to replace Trac and Clarry (assuming they are still there). Compare the Lions midfield strength and depth to the above and you'll see we are way behind
  5. The Rookie (A) list should be dropped and just have a list of 42 blokes Pay them properly, they are part of the squad and some play AFL games
  6. Lloyd has certainly talked him up at the right time As the best rated tall fwd heโ€™ll probably go top 10 to a team that really need a young tall but Iโ€™d be staggered if JT rates him top 5

Pass mark is having a board approved plan and sticking to it. Including Maintaining unity and hunger in the group despite the many distractions. Itโ€™s obviously not as simple as โ€˜make finalsโ€™ as you can miss this on % Do we play kids or do Trac and Clarry and May come back in ripper nick ready to dominate?
  8. Oooh the Tom Campbell Cup! Suck it North, we got our man!
  9. A lot of Demons fans like to have the victim mentality that we always get screwed over when in reality half a dozen teams would have killed for our fixture last year
  10. Sounds good to me!
  11. Weโ€™ve been on the AFLโ€™s favourites list the last few years with thurs fri sat night games Iโ€™m personally really looking forward to Sat and Sun day games at the G

Mr. Key Forward Membrey Clarry is taller but carry on
  13. Massive game!! Cmon girls!
  14. Please no talls with top 10 picks in a draft packed with Midfield guns and us desperately needing mids
  15. Schache, Francis and Weid are good reminders to not risk talls in the top 10 unless they are dead set freak talents like LJ. The risk is higher and itโ€™s harder to judge a big unit taking marks on 17yos
  16. Well done Marty Good player, hopefully his body holds up and can cover for Lever when injured.

Thanks for posting Out of interest, I checked his October form guide from 2015 and he had Clarry at 23 and Weideman at 8 ahead of MacKay and Curnow. Things can change quickly! Hopefully JT works his magic - Clarry style, not Weid style I wonder if there will be a Clarry like bolter this year?

Those few days when the the Oliver thread was locked were the best of times
  19. Every club would have factored this into their stars deals. 20% increase when the new salary cap changes comes in so may not be that big a difference
  20. First set of wheels heading back to Bo Allen again
  21. interesting points I like to play percentages as i have no actual proper knowledge on these guys aside from what i read and watch. Tall defenders are usually from later picks in the draft and can be picked up and groomed. Talls taken early are risky. But if he is a gun with special qualities we might have a look Play the percentages in a strong draft I reckon. Big strong midfielder with 5.
  22. Why would we recruit a tall defender at pick 5? With no Gus and questions marks over Trac and Clarry and Viney getting on we desperately need quality mids The quality of midfielder at 5 and 9 could be telling, even in a deep draft
  23. Cheers for the insult If he is so great, I assume heโ€™ll be gone by our pick
  24. Politely asking if your source has a good track record and what confidence you have in him? I would not be picking Jagga with either pick. can see him sliding and for good reason
  25. Bombers lost 20% but opportunity lost 8.10 to 1.1. Nearly all 10 behinds were gettable. North kicking was poor
