I’d have Smith In the team over Hunt

Yeah mate, I know that. That why I said most of the time. I know Smith isn’t a popular player amongst fans but I rate him and wouldn’t be surprised if he stays in

I reckon Smith stays in. He was in the team with May Lever Petty in the final against the Lions. Got injured and was replaced by Hibberd. Smith is not a depth player, he plays most of the time when fit he is so versatile that you can have him in with 3 talls. His spoiling and 1:1 defending has become very good. Great in the air with an amazing reach. lever in for Hunt/Rivers.

Agreed. He did the job of a fwd. Took the opportunities that presented themselves when everyone else was missing can certainly take more marks and impose himself more But if we back him he will make it

We haven’t had such pressure for spots in my 35 years following the demons good changes. T Mac has been average all year. Weed deserves this chance. I won’t be expected amazing things from Dunstan. He has been solid at Casey without being amazing. I will expect him to go hard and put his head over it. Be interesting to see if Sparrow or Jordons roles change

Can we stop saying T Mac to the wing?? He has lost any agility he had. Average field kick etc. he plays key fwd or back or at Casey

Not quite work rate but, the selflessness and team-first attitude of the Demons at the moment is quite remarkable and is even a step up on last year. Always celebrating the guy who puts in body on the line or runs hard, not just the goal kicker. Like Trac going to Harmes after he got flattened and Trac got the easy goal. Trac leads the way with this (among many others) and the younger guys follow. I have never been prouder to be a MFC supporter. We didn't just fluke a flag and fall away and miss finals the next year (touch wood) and we are not arrogant Again, a lot of the credit should go to Goody and the coaches for instilling this selflessness in the squad, so easy to talk about it, but so hard to get the end result

This mess certainly makes we want to watch footy less and go to games less I have felt angry about it but now it’s just embarrassing and I’m losing interest in the sport to a degree
