I don’t think it’s a case of being old fashioned, it just makes sense, it looks professional. Most players will rock up in trackies and a hoodie looking like hood rats.

Dangerfield is a certified DH. I hope our players don’t even give this a second thought, I’d imagine having your team clothing ready to go on the morning of game day is one less thing to worry about. Once again Dangerfield is thinking about Dangerfield.
  3. Did someone from Melbourne drop there guts in Malthouses face?

    Far right under the TV.
  5. The players can still be drug tested sitting out with a made up injury. If you’ve had two strikes and fear a test is imminent, then claim mental health issues and you can’t be forced to submit to a drug test. *I’m not at all saying this is the case with Stevens.

Unfortunately he’s not doing very well, let’s hope he gets to see a few more Dee’s wins though!

Not for $66.90. I make my own sprinklers out of old hoses.

I’m in the background of the second photo at table 22.

Going by the second photo: Clockwise from Brian Dixon (checkered shirt), Noel McMahon, Clyde Laidlaw, Ian Thorogood, John Lord, Frank Davis, [censored] Fenton-Smith, Ron Barrassi, John Beckwith and Hassa Mann. Can the mods uncensor Fenton-Smiths first name?

Purple shirt in wheelchair is Ian Thorogood, obviously Barassi is in there too. The others I’m not sure about right now but will confirm who was in attendance a bit later with the old man.
  11. Playing for St Kilda will do that to you.

Taken earlier today, some of the old boys enjoying a catch up at the Bentleigh Club.
  13. The article reads as if he wrote it 18 months ago.
  14. You’re not wrong, placing stickers on apples can be more dangerous than people think.
  15. One strike and I lose my job. The AFL are ridiculously lenient on their players. I have no doubt that this ‘leniency’ contributes to players dabbling in illegal drug use.
  16. $65 (per my last bill). So they came down to $29 without HD and wanted an extra $10 for HD. I wasn’t paying the extra and they eventually caved in.
  17. Heat policy below: http://www.aflcommunity.com.au/fileadmin/user_upload/Manage_Your_Club/3._Club_Management_Program/1._Club_Policies___Guidelines/heat_policy.PDF ”In addition the following concessions may be introduced: - increase the number of water carriers to run fluids - increase the length of intervals to enable teams to leave the field for the shade of the rooms at each break ie. 25 minutes for 1⁄2 time and/or 10 minutes for 1⁄4 & 3⁄4 time - further reduce length of quarters - consider postponing or rescheduling games”
  18. For this season I’ll be sticking with ‘traditional’ Foxtel. I rang them today to get a better deal and after threatening to cancel I settled on paying $29 a month for IQ3, this is for the Entertainment package, Sports channels and HD. If you’re in a similar boat and only have Foxtel for AFL give them a call and save yourself a few bucks.
  19. ‘Slightly change the way coaches get messages out to the players’ rather than ‘revolutionise’ I would have thought would be more apt.
  20. Yep, no doubt it became a ‘personal issue’.
  21. He had a falling out with a player which led to him falling out with further players and a coach.
  22. I take almost nothing away from scratch matches except perhaps the fitness level of individuals. Any AFL listed player can look like a star when the opposition lowers their pressure.
  23. Nice piece of play for a Stretch goal.
