Yes and this was the key to success. Why aren’t we recruiting the superstar top players now? We don’t even seem to try to do so. For example, when a top player like de Goey is touted as possibly leaving Collingwood MFC is not even mentioned as a possible destination club. Instead we recruit broken down hacks with previous histories of major/recurrent injuries or third rate draft picks.

3.5 years ago they were about to sack the coach and looked at odds with each other on and off field, especially Riewoldt. On field success breeds cohesion, confidence and coach retention.

Yes this was the doggies game plan a few years back. Kicking to space and players running onto it works well for fast runners. Most of our guys are too slow.
