  1. Was watching the game to see how Blease would go and his first half was very good. His ability to run out of congested situations and hit targets was really promising and he looked a level above VFL. He didn't give the same drive in the second half and as I was watching it on Tv I'm not sure if he was getting moved around the field a bit but he didn't have the same impact out of the back half. I'd like to see him get a chance at senior level at some stage
  2. LH, let's continue towards success, get to 50,000 members, keep Queens Birthday and then trounce the Pies for the next decade on a day that we'll never give up to Eddie
  3. Just what I was thinking gg. They'll say equalisation payments more than compensates the transition
  4. Would that mean we lose our Queens Birthday fixture?
  5. Get the treasure chest out!! Go for as many gun on ballers as we can. If Frawley hasn't signed by season end and we're pushing the cap, then yes offer Frawley money for him to fit in and if he doesn't take it then we get an early draft pick as compo. Hedging our bets so to speak
  6. I'd like to see more speed moving forward and if Roos could work his magic one more time I'd like to see Blease get a go. If not next week, in the next couple.
  7. I thought North looked slow the other night. No doubt we'll have time to set up our defence but hopefully we can hurt them the other way from the onset
  8. Haha. It was a pander RTG. Refocusing my statement for old Machsy
  9. Fair call Machsy. Ok, I hope we're trying to get Bryce Gibbs
  10. If he wants to go, could we get Bryce Gibbs for Frawley? Yes, I said it
  11. Preach and rejoice my brother but leave my dunny out of the sermon
  12. Matt Jones - needed to put at least 1 of his opportunities away in the last quarter.
  13. You can see from last night it's a five year programme to get us anywhere near being a threat. You look at Sydney and they got the ball clean in congestion and then all their players spread and they were off. Compared to our boys who fumbled and stayed in clusters. I support Roos bottleneck approach as it worked for Sydney and it has stopped the bleeding for us. I trust he can turn over the players who don't have skills to be at AFL level and those who won't commit physically so we can resemble a top 8 side. A big ask though as theirs probably 7-8 blokes that need to be turned over and then our kids are going to take 3-4 years to get to a consistent level.
  14. Surely Salem gets a full game in front of Byrnes next week
  15. Loved when JKH won a contested ball in center, got it forward and the the crowd got behind him. Dawesy missed the snap unfortunately. Early stages for the youngster but a real competitor and wants to win
  16. Would love to see Georgiou stay in. Seems selfless to me and a great structure player. Garland comes in next week for me but if we could look at swinging Dunn from forward to back until Hogans ready I'd want Georgiou in. Not sure how the bench works at AFL level but if he could start there and then go on depending on where we need Dunn and the size of the opposition forward line/match ups etc that would be ideal. I'm backing blokes who can play a role at the moment even if they get beaten occasionally.
  17. You could tell we were being out run by a youthful team today but with our structures we came back. In the past we would have folded. Roos doing a good job and loving the slight variances he makes to the line up from week to week. I can see us heading toward a stable outfit. Not great but competitive and stable. Many players to be turned over before we get to the top 4.
  18. Garland in!!! Tmac and the boys down back got monstered from the long ball into the forward line. Otherwise said, Gold Coast talls seemed to take to many marks in front of goal to frequently for my liking. It was the most frustrating aspect of today's game for me
  19. Garland who was in the running for our captaincy, who is in the leadership group, who is our best backman, 2 weeks prepping up in the magoos, get him in
  20. Geelong supporter told me it's the same injury as Matthew Egan. They were saying painful if he was playing with it
  21. Chip Frawley having paddocks of space up forward, Bail had a break out game for me and Pedo got a standing ovation when coming off for a rest in the last. A great day!
