I was speaking to one of the players at the preseason function and asked him about the biggest difference between 2013 and 14 coaching set ups and he said the current really "Get around us" and that while the training was tough, the vibe was a lot more relaxed than before. I also remember roosy working the room with the sponsors and such, but every time he passed wattsy he would squeeze his Jack's shoulders and keep moving. This must have happened 5+ times. It was probably just Roos sharing a bit of banter with his boys, but I felt it was almost way of pumping up Wattsy. Maybe he felt that after years of scrutiny and pressure by everyone, Jack needed a bit of love.

Really nice suggestion. Jake is elite in his ability to apply forward pressure which is something we've struggled with. We finally have some taller targets in Frawley, Dawes, Gawn etc but once it's on the ground we lack the types that keep it in there. While JKH, Salem, Bail are all playing a small forward roll I would argue those players aren't playing the same type of small forward roll someone like Jake could fill as they are more forward flankers->midfielders. I also really rate Cam O'Shea. I have no idea why he isn't getting a game or his contract situation but he is 193 with the ability to play big and small. He get's a bit of the ball and uses it pretty well. On top of which he has a really good intercept mark.
