The bye after the NT game is one of the smartest things I've seen related to our club's fixturing in many a year. Something so obvious, simple and infurating that many of us have screamed out for over the years.
That's got PJ all over it, methinks. Well done, MFC/AFL!
Can't complain too much but one Friday night game for us when Sydney and the Bulldogs share 2/3 of every Friday night for the entire season? Taking the [censored] now, aren't they?
Even if they made the Grand Final, surely sharing around Friday nights a little more evenly would be the preferred outcome. Have they not learned how boring the surplus of Carlton, Richmond, Collingwood and Hawthorn games became in recent years!?
Sick to death of these feather-duster punishments for such egregious crimes. They wouldn't happen in the first place if someone was made an example of! You see the same infuriating [censored] in the judiciary system.
It's hilarious that they play Hawthorn in round one. Could you possibly ask for a less timid, vocal and arrogant opposition crowd to "celebrate" the return of your guilty, convicted drug cheats against? They will be booing in full force.
Let's not forget the Sam Mitchell incident, and the fact your drug cheating captain cost him a Brownlow! It will be ten times worse if he isn't stripped of it!
Wait, they actually expect that concocted story to get them off these charges?
...
Wow.
Just when you thought you'd seen it all over the last 4 years, an even dumber group of drug cheats pops along. Mindboggling.
Why the hell did Carlton do that deal? Did they trade those scraps to GWS for Pickett or something? Otherwise they gave up their 2017 second rounder for absolute rubbish?!
And now Port have given up pick 9 to Sydney for pick 14 and 17?
