  1. And the soft tissue injuries continue for the 97 game player. Meanwhile, 199 game player Lamumba is flying in his 11th preseason. The two were drafted only one year apart.
  2. The arrogance of Geelong and their supporters. They obviously didn't learn from constantly saying how much they wanted Frawley coming into their team last year. Really hope they plummet down the ladder this year. They only barely scraped through in some of their wins last season.
  3. Doesn't look like Crossy either. Has me stumped. Maybe it's a playing coach. EDIT: Yeah, could be Millsy.
  4. Assuming they did a round robin or something with the paddling. Who's the guy on the right? Hair looks like Garlo but he's pretty slight.
  5. Love seeing the team bonding stuff. Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Tyson, Michie, Jones... that's a core worth getting around. Look at Petracca's abs!!!
  6. No stress, just curious about how he's recovering from his patella dislodgement. Didn't notice him in the gallery on the MFC website, but definitely noticed Petracca and he certainly has a presence. The forward line with CP and Hogan could be formidable in years to come. How's the overall atmosphere at the camp? Are all the guys buying in and loving it, or is Roos constantly pulling them up to reinforce specifics of the game plan? Appreciate the work you're doing mate!
  7. Love the training report RB, awesome stuff. From the article on the MFC website, they moved off-site. to do weights for a few hours. Any word on how ANB/Stretch/Brayshaw are tracking?
  8. So the entire Essendon defense is basically their attempt to prove the players took Thymomodulin, rather than TB4. But I thought they had no records, nor any clue what the players were injected with? (Oh, except that it was definitely not illegal!) Amazing how stupid they take the public for.
  9. It's probably a positive sign he's not hanging around the Crows, but I still think we're a far cry from landing him. We need to start showing some serious improvement on-field. Knocking off a few of last year's finalists would be a good start.
  10. Contradicting yourself in the same sentence, that takes some skill. Love the way you habitually play the victim card while dishing out the attacks. And in true Saty form, backing up the personal attacks with yet more dogmatism. So supporters are "plain ridiculous" for commenting on T-Mac's disposal? It's a discussion forum; everyone's entitled to state their thoughts without your predictable reproach over every dissenting opinion.
  11. It's fools gold though, because while the small minority (the best players in the league) will receive ballooning salaries and ridiculous contracts, it will push down the median salary for other players. This is the argument Roos put forth to the AFLPA but was, unexpected, ignored. It's detrimental to the overwhelming majority of players playing AFL and only rewards the elite few.
  12. Again, it's not the training reports that people take issue with. It's the way he attacks people on here without provocation, simply because they're critical of a player he has a close personal relationship with. Having been on the receiving end of multiple derogative attacks from Saty, I take issue with his childish behaviour when responding to other posters here. Doubt you'd be defending him if he called you a pompous blowhard and keyboard warrior just for criticising Jordie's kicking or Grimes' clangers.
  13. They really should just implement some blanket rules like teams in the top 4-6 can't take restricted free agents from teams outside the top 4-6 (prevents premiership teams pillaging the bottom feeders every year). Similarly, lowly teams in the bottom 6 should be able to get free agents without diluting their compensation. As for Paddy, surely this means one foot is out the door? Very surprised Sloane was overlooked too.
  14. Really hope Roos/Goody/PJ get Crossy committed to us for 2016 in a coaching capacity, if he decides to hang up the boots. Apparently Eddie is a huge wrap for him and wants him at the Pies in a similar role.
  15. Oh, this should explain their position and argument quite succinctly: It's almost like they want the best players in the league only moving to top-tier clubs and ensuring lowly clubs remain nothing but feeder clubs for the rich ones.
  16. I didn't understand initially either, but their official line is that it's a disincentive for players to change clubs, thus preventing free agency from reaching the quantity of player movement they wanted. Would've thought the opposite, personally.
  17. Debateable. That was how the AFLPA painted free agency to avoid an obvious PR disaster by pushing for it, but everyone knew what their true motive was. I've got no doubt it's why the AFL held off for so long, then implemented it with a raft of restrictions and compensatory policies (which the AFLPA, naturally, want scrapped). One needs only look at what free agency has caused in overseas sports, though thankfully the AFL maintains a salary cap. Wonder how long it takes the AFLPA to demand that be scrapped as well?
  18. If he goes to either team then the AFL has an even bigger problem on their hands with FA than they anticipated.
  19. Geez, found this a really impressive interview with Goody: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2015-01-12/camp-update-day-1-goodwin Certainly a little more insight than Roosy's usually guarded comments. Can definitely see why the Bombers players speak so highly of him. No-nonsense, straight talking, calm and collected. Can't wait to see him soak up experience from Roos and McCartney.
  20. When they say one unidentified former Essendon staffer is on trial for using TB4... they aren't referring to Goody, right?
  21. Interesting he was the only player in this crop to get an interview. AFLPA eyeing him off as some kind of future spokesperson? And seriously, they gave each draftee an iPad Air? Really?
  22. His manager shopped him around before he even approached the MFC, so that's just revisionist history from Clark. Wouldn't surprise me if they went completely completely cold on him after he showed his true character. Doubt Roos would want him anywhere near the club after the way he sold us out. I'd wager he was pretty fed up with more than one member of the "leadership" group by the end of the season. All speculation of course. Maybe there is some truth to the other rumours.
  23. He's still learning. N. Jones took a while to improve his disposal as well, but look where he is now.
