Yeah sorry @MSFebey but the likelihood of Fremantle beating Collingwood is about as likely as peace in the middle east.

It's like the entire round 23 2017 weekend (after we lost to Collingwood and all saw what was coming) spread out over an entire month. It's like I've been stuck in a slow-motion car crash ever since that Sydney loss, arguably even since the [censored] Geelong loss.

Goodwin would take a 1 point win over anyone at this point.

So the winner of next week's match Hawks V Sydney get top 4, loser down to 5th probably. Either way, top 4 aspirations are cooked for us. Just a [censored] fight to stay in the 8 now, as we expected.

Sorry, you're right. Was confusing myself about qualifying on 12 wins. Theoretically we make it on 12 wins with just two more results: Adelaide Def North Essendon Def Port If North win both their matches and we lose both, we'll miss. We're very bloody precarious until we get to 13.

Yes, we all saw what happened last year when we had to rely on other results to go our way to qualify. Spoiler alert: it will be our undoing if we rely on such uncontrollable outcomes yet again. The team have their fate entirely in their own hands now. Win ONE game, they play finals. Lose both, we miss. Bloody simple equation. We had 2 bonus lives in Sydney and West Coast. We've already blown the first. Let's hope we don't blow the second. Nobody wants it to come down to next Sunday because we all know how this team folds under any ounce of pressure.

And if Port lose next week and Adelaide beat NM this week, we're locked into the top 8. We're still precarious even if we get to 13 wins until a few more results go our way. It goes without saying that if we lose both games it would take a perfect combination of other results to go our way to make it on 12 wins. Frankly I'd rather miss finals than qualify without beating a single top 9 team.

Just imagine, we get 13 wins and Geelong knock us out of the top 8 by percentage. Would that not be the most infuriating end to the season imaginable, considering our two losses against the pricks? I can't think of any ending more heartbreaking for the MFC, which means it will definitely happen. This team always finds creative new ways to plunge the knife deeper into our hearts.

Was a [censored] awful decision. Of course it had to be that moron Nicholls who paid it. Who else? And I can't get my hopes up about Fremantle winning because I just know it won't happen... but geez, that would be the highlight of the weekend if it eventuated. If that happened, and Adelaide beat North, every other result becomes irrelevant and the top 8 teams are locked in. Would be the AFL's worst nightmare, so rest assured they'll get Geelong over the line.

Yep, this infuriates me. And you just know both those clubs will be looked after.

We'll be lucky to come within half of the free kicks West Coast get gifted. It doesn't fit the AFL directive for us to make finals when they know getting Geelong/Sydney/Port in before us makes them more money. They'll be desperate to ensure SA has a team represented, that their precious NSW market has both teams playing finals, and that Geelong's "superstars" get their fairytale finals campaign. The fix is on.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the umpires are being instructed to assist Essendon win. This is outrageously blatant.
