  1. I can't seem to upload the photo I took from the TV screen, if anyone has one, perhaps they could post it. Very bright.
  2. I've just seen that on the tennis coverage. It is very royal and a complete throwback to mid 80s. I am not sure, but maybe that is am preview of the mens clash strip..I wouldn't mind it. Better than white. I don't think that is the womens home jumper is it???
  3. I was not comparing them as players..I was comparing their stature. If you reckon it won't be hard for this kid to compete at AFL level given his size and weight then I dunno what else to say. I noted that Hunter was a horrendous pick, but am happy to give this kid a chance. But at that weight aND height he will struggle in the first 3 years. Yes there are exceptions, like Brent Harvey, Callub Daniel etc. But for me, picking a kid this dmall, who bases his game on competing, is a but if a risk. The AFL is a giant step up from under 18 football and school age football
  4. Oh but I did..played. APS footy with him..sooooo
  5. 172com and 70kg lol.........remember Cam Hunter...Son oF ken....RUBBISH selection
  6. Listed as a 'Rookie Demon'...posts an amateur thread. I think we were ok with your absence.
  7. I posted this in another thread, but I can tell you, I was given info from a person connected to the MFC that suggested that the White clash while be done away with and that the new clash jumper will be "as traditional as it could be'. Make of that what you will. I pushed the guy for more details or for a release date, but he was tight lipped...which is fair enough. Based on what he told me, I am excited to see the design.
  8. ? what number are we thinking about giving Jake? Surely he takes the number 9 ? Don't, under any circumstance, give him 4 or 31..cursed numbers at the MFC
  9. I am in the camp that says this is a good deal. Forget the fact that we paid overs..whether you agree with this or not. We have brought in a young start, proven player. We have enough top end young guns sitting on our list..Tracca, Oliver, Hogan, Viney etc...The time is NOW. We are not building for the future anymore, we are planning for the next three years and a serious tilt at the finals. People should be happy that the mindset has changed. Taylor will still find us something with the picks we have and I am sure we get Balic from Freo, who until has injury just before the draft, was set to go a lot higher. We are making the right moves...back the club.
  10. Tell me one game..One passage of play you can recall from this year that Matt Jones influenced. ..go on
  11. 10 games of awful turnovers and rubbish kicks across goals .. He can go.
  12. Great to hear from you Hocko. I have had the pleasure of speaking to you many times at games. You are a real icon of the MFC and lead the best cheersquad we have ever had. I still can remember the way you lead the 'Melbourne..clap clap clap' chant..,always alternating arms in the air. I wish you had of kept that Ricky Jackson jumper though..iconic that was.
  13. Yeh it just says "ankle issue" and that he has had iron deficiency in 2014 and has tested poorly for endurance. What was done to his ankle? Was it stress related? Fracture? Very vague
  14. Can anyone shed light on the injury issues he had/has. I can't be bothered looking back to see
  15. Noting also this http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-10-13/trade-winds-tuesday-october-13article which says three players only moved clubs yesterday. None of which are Milkshake. I am baffled
  16. Why is there nothing official on the MFC website yet? Is that not a bit odd? Has this deal been signed off or not?
  17. No way that we could have been given such an assurance
  18. Yes HT but we are in need of improving our list quickly. Unlike other clubs, we arnt looking to add list depth players. This is Roos' last year and the aim is finals in 2016. You don't give up a pick 4 who has essentially had three years on the list to get an average 24 year old who may not play a game next year
  19. having a laugh arnt you? He is hardly a sought after player
  20. I would like clarification from AFL or our club as to the ramifications on taking a player being investigated by WADA. We could potentially be the laughing stock of the comp (again) if we put all our eggs into the melksham basket and he can't even play. Meanwhile toumpas and wines help port back to the finals. It would be oh so Melbourne if that were to happen
  21. Can I ask a question that may have been asked by others earlier but i have not read it, what are we doing going after a c grade mid who may not play at all next year if WADA come down hard. What if we give up a player and get a bloke that cannot play. Isn't this fraught with danger??
  22. If you feel like inboxing me too I would leave to hear the goss
  23. I thought his kicking at goal today was good but he missed some targets further up the ground. Did some very silly things that lead to turnovers. Trying to do a bit too much. The kid will learn
