For those not able to go down to Melbourne for the game, I have contacted the Pineapple Hotel and they have said they will put it on for us - you can get meals and enjoy the game over an ale or two.. If we got say 50 there they would open upstairs for us.. I do need a yes or no from people.. you can still go later if u say no but i need definites in numbers by next Wed 11/4 to let the Piiney know.. Ok all. the Demons will be traning at Metricon on Friday from 4.30pm to 5.30 pm. All welcome to come along and meet the players and watch them train under the new regime.. I will also be selling raffle tickets that day for Rohan Bail's 2011 guernsey - donated by his dad.. tickets $2 each or 3 for $5. Drawn at Emerald Lakes after the games . If you have said you will come to the games and havent contacted me by end of this weekend ( being 12th Feb) I am afraid you may miss out as I have to let Emerald Lakes know who's coming and pay them. The $$ dont need to be in this weeknd but I have to have a guarantee it is goign in this weekend or on Monday. If I havent heard from you by Sunday night I am afraid you will miss out. Chris Connolly will be along to talk and we have Laurie Mithen as a special guest who is coming along to join the festivities.

No news yet on the training. I will call tomorrow. Last time we spoke they couldnt tell me the plans and still awaiting news on the speaker for lunch. Might email my club contact and ask her the questions.

These bosses are so unreasonable.. expecting you to work when you could be enjoying yourself watching the Dees train. Mine is definitely like that. I would have to just disappear and take a sickie.. I should add being on the GC would mean at least 2 days off.. one to travel and one to watch training.. guess he might notice i am gone by then.

I have read re Blease that he is blistering in speed but he blots the copybook slightly with his disposal.. no good blazing out and sending it straight to the opposition so we can only hope that that speed is soon to be matched with some great accuracy.. He is a twig though and if they catch him, they will pulverise him at the moment.. needs to bulk up a fair bit.. luckily he has some rather tough teammates who hopefully will shepherd the thugs away..

Calling all Queenslanders and those planning a visit for NAB cup! We need you all to confirm ( yay or nay) if you will be coming to our pre-game function for NAB cup on 25th Feb. Yeah think the Piney will be the Brissie venue.. relatively easy to get to from most places I am told - please, however, let me know of other venues you think might be good options..

Hey Guys This is for all our Brisbane and Gold Coast fans I plan for this year to be a lot more social for our members and for interstate visitors. I plan to have regular days of watching the games at a local pub/club and this is where you all come in. I need to find a venue in both Brissie and down here on the coast that we can meet regularly to watch the Dees play. The venue needs to make AFL a prority and show all the AFL games as we dont want to get to the venue and find we cant see it due to it clashing with an NRL game.. urgghh!! Ideally they will have affordable meals and snacks for those that wish to eat before/during or after our match. Obviously I cant be at both places at once so will have to alternate between venues and I will need you guys to all try and make an effort and come along and support the team along with us. It's not much fun making the effort to get out of the comfort of your lounge on a cold wiinters day and go along only to find noone else there.. So put your suggestions for a venue in and the most popular ones will be the choices for 2012. For those outside these areas if you know a great place but noone to watch with, let me know as perhaps there are others close by I can "hook" you up with to watch the games. Ok start hunting down.. not long now till the first bounce and I would love to have Round 1 v Brissie as the first social event (after NAB cup of course!)
