Nat is a great trier and wear's his heart on his sleeve. But he can be a liabilty as he butches the ball too much and unfortunely for us is never going to reach the standard of a champion. He is not the person to lead us,by only having one captain i.e Viney it makes it easy for the selectors to drop a player who is not the captain. I believe we should trade him year's end. Let's not get emotional over my statement,like people did with Watts and Sylvia. Both no great losses.

We need someone other than Oliver to step up as a champion mid. As silly as it may sound J.Smith has to be groomed for the future as a mid.We cannot rely on Tracca,Brayshaw or Salem.

We only have one decent mid in Oliver and as a result we are going to find it hard to win matches. Not too many players have stepped up,so we will end up with revolving doors again at selection. Definite changes for next week N.Jones bench, Vince drop and never to return (never reinstate Lewis) Weed drop,play in reserves as forward/ruck(min. 6 weeks).ANB drop never to return. Wagner drop never to return. We may need to change playing roles for Lever,use as a forward.Jetta,use as a forward.Petracca in defence. Gawn use in defence. Pedo,Lever ruck work.Remember the T.Mac/Pedo ruck work in 2017 was a goer. I hate this fookin club. How can get off this website for good?

We have to remember that Lever played in a Grand Final which is more than you can say about most of our players. Our defence will get much stronger one we get Viney (in particular) and T,Mac back in. The existing draft system doesn't help teams like Melbourne,Brisb,G.C and Carlton. Selection staff can cause a club to go backwards.It may take two or three list turnovers (rebuild). The fans often get the "short end of the stick",in other words we constantly getting screwed over. What I would like to see is that the no.1 draft goes to the worst side of the past three years. If the Dees finish 16th,16th and 15th in the last three years they will get first pick infront of a team that finishes 1st,1st and 18th. No team can trade out their first rounder.(for the Kiddy draft) Players who wish to leave a club gets to go into a pool and can be picked up by the lower clubs,this will stop the top club from becoming stronger. example Dangerfield couldn't go to Geelong.His first port of call would be Brissy then G.C then the Blues or alternative remain a Crow. We need a different game plan because it is no point Gawn getting lots of tap outs if our mids don't do anything with the ball. If we go back in time when Gawn was out against Adel.,Jacobs got 71 tap outs yet we won the the game.

Hopefully for the Dees,J.Smith can quickly regain form after a long spell from injury. Hunt needs to come back in. Perhaps Ginga Ninja would be worth a try.Tyson should be back in. Out Lewis,Vince,Melksham and Bugg or Frost or Harmes. Must drop Jones as Captain never has been a leader thou some may disagree.

Can't seeing us win too many more matches.Perhaps we are just a pub side!!!!!!

Billy Hartung might be worth a look. We might have to be involved in a 3 way trade, King plus 3rd rounder to a team that needs a ruckman i.e Blues,they off load a 2nd rounder to the hawks and in turn we get Billy.

Still it is a case of master v pupil when it comes to geelong but I don't think we are too far off the mark.On the the Q of Hannan v Fritsch,both need lots of senior experience.

love to see petracca play in the midfield,viney's injury may be long term. so we might need salem and j.smith (near future) to play mid. Next year hopefully ollie w. can come back home.

Practice matches are absolutely meaningless. Watts won't kick anymore than 20 goals for the season and in saying so will not be a great loss.

I don't think we are the sort of club that is a "given".When you expect us to do well,the opposite happens.Why do you think Shiraz was invented for?

A very long time ago possibly zillions of years, I watch two pre-season match. The Dees beat the reigning premiers and runner up,so I backed them (the dees) for wooden spoon at 16-1.The best payday of my life. Backing the Dees when favs. to lose against some sh.t sides has resulted in an has caused my wallet to explode.

The dees should send ollie an appology for not picking him over the spud doupas. He was "neelded". Who could we off load to port,ANB,Stretch,Melksham,Vince,Wagner,Kennedy Harris,Kent etc. More Mongrel bring it on !!!!!.

Having a new afl team at the Gold Coast was always going to be risky.The Brisbane Bears failed in the G.C. People living in the area are more interested in other things. It seems that when the going get tough G.Ablett jnr wants be closer to his father. Interesting is'nt funny how he is playing for Geelong when his father lives in Drouin some 160 klms away. I was always dead against a Tassie side as I didn't think anyone would follow them and the fact that young footballers would go "ape sh.t" from the lack of amusements outside footy. However since the Kangas and Hawks play footy there because of t.v rights gets tax payer money from the Tassie state government. I now believe that the G.C should relocate to Tasmania, those Kiddies who come from Victoria can visit their mummy's at lot more easier than if they were living in the G.C. Note- The G.C - Melbourne is 1709 klms, Launceston -Melbourne is 541 klms. Personally I think that the Dees need to win a flag before relocating the suns and giving them u-beaut picks.

GWS have looked the good for the past 2 years but no silverware. When other clubs are constantly milking them does not help. The media in the past reckons that GC and GWS will dominate flag wins. Yet GC seem to be going backwards possibly because no one takes them seriously.Perhaps a lesson by the AFL wasn't learnt,Brisbane played out of the Gold Coast without troubling too many sides. GC should probably relocate to Tasmania,at least young Victorian kids recriuted would be closer to their mummies. The players we have picked up in the past three years are much better quality than those in the past. Injuries do play an important part but so does quality back up players. Are we a premiership side in 2018 ? possibily not. We need to get more out of Petracca and Brayshaw,J.Smith will be an asset if he can regain form prior to injury. Have we got a back up plan if Gawn gets injured,we may require a different game plan.

Perhaps Port Adel. are closer to a flag than the Dees,however I don't think J.Watts is closer to playing in a flag side than most of the Demon players!!!!!!
