  1. I usually wait for the AFL to post their nice graphic of the round's matches on Social Media but I think I will open this thread earlier in the week as a place for the discussion of the upcoming non-Demons matches. Currently there really isn't the place on here for that type of discussion so we'll see how it goes.
  2. He's a Blues fan that hates the Dees. The dig doesn't surprise me. I agree that our fans need to turn up and we can't complain about not getting blockbuster games and timeslots if we don't bother rocking up especially when we have a once in lifetime genuine A-Grade of a side to watch. Why is he only targeting Dees fans for not turning up though? Why do the Bulldogs fans get off scot-free?
  3. There really isn't enough back slapping in the demon fan community.
  4. Not sure why putting Round 1 AFL fixture into Google produced GWS playing both South Australian teams.
  5. Who are you tipping in Round 1?
  6. “Sources have already suggested to me that May’s injury might be a little bit worse than a niggle,” Healy said. “We’ll see how that plays out over the ensuing weeks, but there’s no question they’ll take a cautious approach to selection with a 31-year-old with a calf strain. “That’s what’s been suggested to me, that’s the history of calf issues with older blokes. “You’re not going to take a risk with him, I’d be staggered if he’s playing if he’s not training this week. “Then it’s a question of what the scans tell you, it could be one week or two or three.”
  7. Yep. Remember that time May played with a 6cm tear in his hamstring.

  9. A downpour on Saturday night would be welcomed right about now.
  10. May as well keep the Bulldogs guessing
  11. Dees fans checking web MD to see if a calf injury can be cured in 3 days

  13. It's Steven May!!!!!!1111 Melbourne has been hit by a fresh injury setback to star defender Steven May who is in doubt for Saturday night’s season-opener with a calf problem. In a potentially massive blow for the Demons, May only completed light duties at main training on Wednesday and will have to prove his fitness on Friday to take on the Western Bulldogs and their four-pronged forward line at the MCG. May looked sore during the warm-up on Wednesday and was limited in his movement before walking off the ground where he spent time on the exercise bike at Casey Fields. It means he is in a race against time to recover from the calf issue only three days out from the season-opener in another injury problem for the club. The Demons are already missing Jack Viney, Christian Salem and Bayley Fritsch for their first game of the season. While the club maintained May could still play against the Dogs, the full-back’s absence casts significant doubt over his availability for the round 1 blockbuster. Defender Joel Smith trained well on Wednesday and could be called up as May’s replacement. It is a significant headache for Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin who is planning to stop one of the tallest forward combinations in the league on Saturday night. The Dogs look set to play Aaron Naughton, Sam Darcy, Rory Lobb and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan in the same attacking line-up as part of a forward combination which could stretch the Melbourne back line.
  14. This is the post @DeeSpencer is referring to. Twitter's image cropping algorithm is pretty crappy so here is the photo he is referring to.
