Dry July
And hence it's a Dry July for only some teams. That is the point. It's raining goals in Geelong. Not so dry July for them. Please don't take this light-hearted thread so seriously.

Dry July
It came from the Useless Statistics Facebook page so you're bang on the money. Have a drink on me in August.

- Farewell Brodie Grundy
I agree but I still think we should have come out on the front foot with this messaging. Managing or Omitting Grundy for whatever reasons be they to hone his forward craft for Goody's reasons above or even manage any soreness was always going to create media hysteria. We should have been ready for that. I think his omission was leaked due to Tom Morris' involvement in the "breaking" of this story. We need to look at plugging this hole because we've been good in this area (not leaking) over the last few years. In addition we needed to be ahead of this story so we could have at least put our narrative out there. Yes the media will always be the media and put their own spin on it but when you're on the back foot you always look like your hiding something. Probably not the case here but when the media gets to frame the narrative it spreads like wildfire.- PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide

- Contracted Tomlinson Looks to Move On?
CONTRACTED DEE LOOKS AT OPTIONS MELBOURNE defender Adam Tomlinson will again survey his trade options as he looks for a more secure backline spot at another club. Tomlinson was on the trade table last year but with two years to run on his deal at the Demons he remained at the club. Now with one season to go, he remains intent on playing at AFL level and clubs are expected to consider him as a trade possibility. The former Giant has played five games this season but is behind Jake Lever, Steven May and Harrison Petty in the defensive pecking order, having been omitted after a strong performance against Collingwood in the King's Birthday clash. The 29-year-old was in career-best form at the start of 2021 before a knee reconstruction saw him sidelined for the Demons' premiership win. The former first-round pick has played 173 games, 33 of which have been at Melbourne. â Callum Twomey- AFL CEOs Discuss Fixture Revamps & More
