  1. As a team you're not going to have possession of the ball 100% of the time. Pressure is absolutely critical. It's a big reason I have a replica Premiership cup sitting on my desk.
  2. Here is the Fox Footy Pressure gauge measurements
  3. Whilst Pressure Acts might make up a stat they are also subjective as to whether the stat actually had a positive or zero effect. Just because you are chasing someone doesn't necessarily mean you are applying pressure. There might even be a case to make that that player was second to the footy and has just been chasing tail all day. I'm not suggesting that this is always the case. The points system above helps in weighting the pressure as higher the closer the player gets to the target. Whilst pressure is very important and absolutely has to be applied when you don't have the footy but I would prefer to be the ones with footy in hand.
  4. Thank you. I'm pretty sure we have discussed this in the past and even had stats and charts but my memory is a sieve these days unless it relates to random Dees players that played for 5 minutes in the late 80s and early to mid 90s.
  5. They were trying to get Clarry on for awhile but as you said the ball was on the other side of the ground for a long time. The rule limiting the times that the runner can come onto the ground costs you in those situations. The couple of runners who couldn't keep themselves out of the action really spoiled it for everyone.
  6. I’ve watched it no less than 37 times since I posted it.
  7. Depends if they were off to conserve them. Not just for this match but through a long season. No point sprinting in the first Km of the marathon.
  8. A news report of a barefoot TMac getting scan on his troublesome foot surely requires panic and attention given the wheels of our season last year fell off when he was out. The good news is that in the vision from today’s training he looks to be running very well. From about 0:58 seconds.
  9. He must have heard Viney was coming back.
  10. I saw a post on the Brisbane Big Footy board that said they heard on Brisbane sports radio that he is definitely playing. It has to be true in a Friends, Uncles, Brothers, Priest's dog kind of way.
  11. ^^^^^^ Just as aside to the above clip. How the hell was the kick from Kozzy to Spargo not 15m and called play on when all night the Bulldogs were chipping the ball 5 to 7 meters and it was paid a mark.
  12. On top of his rucking abilities and his new found forward prowess this is a another huge benefit of having Brodie Grundy in the team.
  13. Here are the stats I used on the show to highlight that period where we took back control of the match and put the Bulldogs to the sword. I believe this coincided with Clarry coming back on the ground fresh.

  15. As long as there is no structural damage or the danger of more damage by him just load baring and playing a game of footy then yes he absolutely needs to play to make up for the scoring void left by Kozzy.
  16. We did talk a bit about Clarry spending a chunk of time on the bench in the 2nd quarter and his return fresh coincided with our wrestling control back and putting the pedal down.
  17. I reckon the only certainty is Viney - 100%. Salem will most likely need to come back though Casey for match conditioning and his replacements are doing a fine job 0%. You would think that they are going to be conservative with May given his age profile, the long season & 3 interstate games in 4 weeks 30% (could be higher). Fritsch is a total unknown in my book 50%
