The most selfish MFC player in 150 years?

Don't know about the first 100 years but Robbo has to be the most selfish Demon I've seen in over 50 years of supporting this club. He will not/ can not shepherd, handball, pass to a teammate or chase an opponent.

Yesterday I thought there was a breakthrough- he actually ran to the halfback line to help his teammates. Got a few kicks too.

But, for me, all that good work was undone in the last quarter when he ignored young Morton, who was in a far better position, and blazed away at goal himself. O.K. he got the goal but was that the team thing to do?

The previous week Robbo ran 50 metres to thank Yze who'd passed to Robbo, resulting in a goal. However, he wouldn't run 20 metres to congratulate Morton whose beautiful foot pass also produced a goal. No wonder so many promising kids at this club lose confidence.

Now if this seems a bit tough on Robbo, please remember he's supposed to be a leader. And anyway, who can name a more selfish player in Melbourne's long history?

He wasn't selfish when he was kicking 50+ goals a year. It's easy to kick someone when they're down.

Inside 50 he should be selfish. Its what hes paid for .

Stop blaming 1 player for whats happening

What a load of attention seeking hyperbole that comes out on this site.

Two bad losses and we have the worst players and most selfish players in our history.

First post, and what absolute tripe!

Hope your follow up efforts are a little sharper than that Senile.

im sick of supporters sooking about players!!!!!!!!!!! yes u do it every now and the but ffs not every friggen day or minute!! soo childish! too be honest i am over it and sick of it. and dont worry sanile sam im not having a go at you its the other idiotic supporters on this site.

Robbo is the Demons!

Selfish my A$$, he is feeling every loss let me tell you!

Sure, all players make a mistake here and there, but he is trying to make something out of nothing in the early stages of this dark season.

Agreed. He is such a good kick that he may as well take it himself. He does need to look at his defensive pressure a bit more but his combined leading, marking & kicking for goal accuracy is better than anyones else at the moment so IMO He is performing well as a forward, especially considering the limited opportunities, just the defensive bit for my mind is down.

Good first post

Agree entirely

Our are dead right here, DB took him off after his 2 or 3 attempts at a screamer in the first quarter then put him back on after that, and he tried to change his game, good on him for that and good on DB for doing that.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
