If anyone has any influence at the club could they please use it to get a straight swap of Wood for Travis?

We can set our club up with Wood and Meesen for years to come and our drafting will then be easier. I don't want Rhys Shaw and I would be stunned if the club really includes him in the Travis deal.

Someone, please make it happen!

You're a very 'cup half full' kind of person if you are pinning your hopes on Meesen making it. He didn't show signs at the crows.

Then you would agree with me adding Wood in case Meesen doesn't make it. I would take Wood instead of pick 14 and Rhys Shaw any day.

I'd rather the pick 14 thanks. No use having half decent ruckmen if you've got no midfield to use the ball they win. We need a KPP and a pacey midfielder, and I'll have 14 so that I can jag either, depending on what type of player we get with pick 4.

We'd probably have to trade Jamar if we picked up two ruckmen from elsewhere. Would he have any currency among the other clubs? Adelaide maybe?

Hmm, if we got wood AND meeson, one would assume that the dees would HAVE to consider trading one of our current listed ruckman. Jamar just inked a deal, so he isnt able to be placedo n the market for 12 months. So that leaves White and PJ.

Would the saints bite on White? You bet your bank balance they would!

If Wood and Meeson come our way, the dees would be stupid not to float white and/or PJ.

I can see Meesen coming, but Wood going to the Woods.

Small problem is that Wood is under contract. Even if he wasn't he'd still want to have to come to us. Why would he do that when we have White, Jamar, PJ and are now committed to Meesen. He knows that he'll be the only realistic option at Collingwood to support Fraser.

Jamar could still be traded if he agreed to the deal. Saints, Pies, Tigers for starters all need ruckmen, maybe even the Crows.

Jamar for Meesen or we take him for nothing in PSD if we got Wood as swap for TJ..

It seems that someone has done the trick for you. Shaw's not coming to Melbourne, he's on his way to Brisbane instead. The deal is that we get pick 14 and that's it!

I note on another thread we are interested in Moran but so are the Crows, could be a problem. If we got Moran and Meesen we could still look to move Jamar to Saints, Tigers, Pies or even Crows. He is a SA boy.

You have a thing about Jamar don't you?

Well I am not sure if he has much improvement in him. I know he was injured this year and he doesn't get much game time, but when he was on the ground he didn't touch the ball and the opposition scored heavily. I think he is about 24 and has had 6 seasons with us, so how long do you wait. I always thought Jolly was better and we were happy to trade him. Obviously if we only get Meesen he will stay and I will say good luck Mark have a good year, this is the year under a new coach to prove yourself.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
