It's a marvellous achievement to be awarded life membership of the MFC - congratulations to Neale Daniher!

Yeah congrats neale. It sounds like it will be presented to him at the footy tomorrow at the presidents twighlight dinner. Still miss you and your humour but glad you can still come back to the club.

Congratulations Neale.

I started a thread on this a few weeks ago asking if anyone knew if he would get it. Didn't get one reply but I guess we know the answer now. Well done, Neale - a true Demon!

I wonder if he'll get the "Life Underachiever" award too...

lol sorry, vulgar, crude joke that isn't even funny.

Congrats to Danner's. Although I loathed your coaching in the last 2 years of your time at Melbourne, you coached the club I love for exactly 66% of my time as a Melbourne fan.

I too was against his coaching ability over the last few years but always admired him for his love of the club and how he tried with all his heart to make the club great.

Well done ND.

Congratulations to Neale on what is truly a wonderful achievement......

It is a great recognition of a man who, despite his final days as a Demon, remains one of the most respected people in AFL circles.

A very proud moment, well done :D !!!

Well deserved Neale...atleast the MFC acknowledged you as doing a great job. ....Hope to see you and your "demon" family around the club in the future. Thanks for everything

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
