weeding out 'soft-coc.ks' like J. White, B. Green and a few others,

Oh I say, 'Go Dees'.

Stromberg.....come on.......at least show an ounce of respect!

Saying that about two bloody good servants of the club is uncalled for.

Tuck your head in you drip!

Sad but true  !!!

Anyway........

Sheedy to meet with Demons

Lets just see if Sheedy lasts the process.

It like getting excited about the winner of Big Brother after only one week. (No i dont watch it!)

Bub, Is a "3x3", a clapped out 4 WD car, a nine year contract or a 3 year contract with a further option of one or two 3 year terms?

If its the latter, at whose option is it exercised?

3 by 3 ..is indeed the vernacular for a three year firm followed by a three year option. exercised accordingto whatever the two parties agree to. Im sure they could agree on reasonable and relevant citeria to the interest of both parties.

did sound a bit like a Lada Niva though didnt it ??

well this is good news... i wasn't initially keen on sheeds, but the more i think about it the more it appeals to me... although as stated in other friends, Craig Cameron must still head the recruiting department, as that is one area where sheedy has let down the bombers...

if there are 12 on the shortlist, then i'd imagine it will look something like this...

Sheedy

Connolly

Riley

Ratten

Bond

McKenna

Viney

Longmire

Harvey (perhaps?)

O' Donnell

there's 10, there's a bunch of other blokes who could also be doing it, but it's hard to say if they'd be in the 12 (jarman, rehn, liberatore, crosisca)

I think you'll find a certain M Williams.. address TBO, might be on that list also !! :-)

It may have a little bit to do with respect.

You don't have to like the players, and I don't have a problem with players getting criticised where it's warranted, but to can those two blokes like that is rubbish.

They deserve better..........they have been very good players, and don't deserve crap like that.

Here's the thing about Sheedy, which differentiates him from all others...

Even if he doesn't win us a single game, he'll bring this club so much media attention, raise our profile and lure the sponsors, and that is something we need nearly as much as a premiership.

Of course, that all depends on his willingness to adjust to a new level of control, as he won't get to be in charge of recruiting and other aspects of our club, in the same way he did at Essendon.

How much was he in charge of recruiting did he get hird and loyde or was that a recruiting officer.

We need to be careful we don't fall for the lure of simply Sheeds the promoter, and that his primary role is to get the team back up and playing winning football.

If he can't do that, the media will be all over him for the wrong reasons, and he may be just a lead weight around the clubs neck.

And if it turns pear shaped, and he can't turn the team around, we will look like the idiots for hiring a coach past his use by date.

The Essendon board, as much as we like to believe it, aren't stupid, and would have sound reasons behind the scenes as to why they are letting him go.

I personally think he is getting everything he can out of the Bombers at the minute, and think he can make a big difference to how our team plays.

But then again, I think someone like McKenna, or Longmire could as well.

It's a very tough call. With all this pro-Sheedy support at the minute, just remember if we do get him, and it doesn't work, don't go blaming the club for taking the punt!

I like it!!

After listening to Sheedy's comments regarding passion, I am super stoked!! Sign here Mr. Sheedy ...............

The bloke is [censored] funny and has a record that talks for itself..... The bloke could sell Ice to the Eskimos!!!!

Out with The Rev.....

In with The Kev.....

I'd be happy with kev bc he is a good coach (1 grand final every 5 years, 1 premiership every 6.5 yrs and 22/27 finals series) and a good promoter.

my only worry is whether he's past it.

his recruiting in recent times has been questionable, and essendon have been mediocre ever since 2000. Plus he plays favourites...

are these legitimate concerns. this guy loves mark bolten???!!

Imagine if Melbourne pick up Carlton's former coach.

They will be going from a Reverend to a Pagan.

Very Good!

It would also fit in with our Demon image by some of the religous folk in our cummunity.

The prospect is exciting isn't it.

But will the reality be?

This is why we need a "process!"

Stupid decisions are made on emotion and gut feel.

Would we have the money he wants? Do we find & pay him whatever he wants? He wont have all the luxury of supporting staff & facilities that he has become accustom to at Essendon.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
