2025 Player Reviews: #26 Jed Adams

Featured Replies

Adams persevered over three seasons with the Casey Demons, achieving notable progress as a key defender at VFL level this year to earn a senior debut late in the season. Although he didn’t set the world on fire, he put in a commendable performance against star Bulldog key forwards, which bodes well for his future prospects.

Keen to see Adams again next year, I think he can play more of a key role in the backline next year fighting for the spot to replace May, was solid in the game he played and was a little unlucky to get dropped after only one game

Adams improved a lot this year without Tomo by his side and displayed some very good moments in his first game against the most dangerous big men brigade in the AFL. The Doggies came knocking at his door and I can see way. He has good defensive smarts and excellent foot skills.

I look forward to his transition into the AFL next season.

Keen to see more of Adams too but not sure he can get the ball enough.

Well he’s a key defender so not sure that’s too much of a concern, he’s a lockdown defender

Really, you happy with his 5 disposals in his only game, including kick in? I mean May got 23 disposals in his last game and the experts on here said he played poorly.

Well I’m not sure about you but for me I’m happy with my key defenders not getting too many disposals as long as there playing on there man aswell as getting across to help out there teammates with spoils, may not being able to defend and stay on his opponent is the reason he’s gotta go

I vaguely remember back in the 1980s a full back getting BOG with one disposal holding a star forward goalless.

That trivia aside, Jed seemed to do well at Casey and when thrown in the deep end was ok at least.

autocorrect again. I don’t remember Bach

Interesting one is Adams

Got some good athletic attributes in his quick and moves well. He'll take a good contested mark then the next 2 contests gets pushed off the ball like a schoolboy, same with is kicking, laser's a beauty then next 2 go to no mans land.

Having said that he improved 2nd half of last season

Low possession full back continuing his development this year. He's starting to take the next step with turning defence into attack. He needs to back himself and use his excellent speed.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
