If you donโ€™t know what a memorial trophy means, please donโ€™t be in charge of running socials for a multi million dollar organization with 60,000+ paying members. FFS!

I was very pleased that Geoff McGivern, premiership player and Bluey winner, was given life membership. For some reason he was not named in the 150 Heroes book published some time ago. He definitely should have been named.

Can't see why there's a problem naming a trophy as a "memorial" for someone who is still alive. After all, we regularly give life memberships to people who have already passed away.

A memorial award is named after a deceased person to honor their memory and legacy.

Judging from the awards videos and the Red Carpet โ€˜Glitz and Glamโ€™ gallery. Haute Couture or dress sensibility in general at the MFC is virtually in the toilette.

The most pressing need is not a Senior Coach replacement but the appointment of a Dress Deportment and Grooming Coach.

This is not a comment on the WAGS with the exception Calebโ€™s Mum who left the rest of the G&G in her train. Always like a mature woman.

Back to the blokes, kudos to Nathan Jones, Steven May, Jacob Van Rooyen and Koltyn Tholstrup. They all know how to find a button. Marty Hore and Kade Chandler and Charlie Spargo receive get out of jail cards because of shoulder injuries or surgery.

Yes, the modern suit coat is akin to a waiterโ€™s bum freezer but l believe button holes and coat buttons are still provided.

Ties donโ€™t start me on ties! Not a Windsor knot to be seen (Caleb excepted). Jed Adams half mast effort is a disaster.

Billowing white shirts look so like those of the chorus extras for the March of Toreador song from Bizetโ€™s opera Carmen.

Or were they moonlighting as the function waiters? With crowd numbers plummeting the AGM financials could be a black hole.

No excuses the reason for the Clubโ€™s on field malaise is in plain sight. Sloppy dress sense equates with poor performance. Pull your socks up, button up and fly right.

Technically it can also be named after someone whoโ€™s still living. Itโ€™s just that itโ€™s not common.

I wish they all still wore long socks on the playing field.

You could be correct, I got the definition from Google.

To me, the fact he was rated so highly internally illustrates just how much we as a club have no idea when it comes to offense/ damaging ball movement and are focused on the wrong aspects of modern footy.

I remember saying a while ago in defence of Salem that what many posters see as his weaknesses are quite possibly things the Goodwin regime asked for and applauded.

Now, Salem may be incapable of playing any other way and so much of the criticism could still be valid. But I'm keen to see how he goes under a different coach.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demonsโ€™ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.
