Yze playing for Sandy! T.Johnston maybe as well. Whelan can't get back in! Dunn, Miller, Ferguson and Brown as well!

The Dees must be traveling well to not get some of those names back in!

I'm finding it hard to get used to the new look Dees team- I guess the future!

Sandy should win by a huge amount if many of those Dees players are in. ( noted only 12 can play)

anyone know how wheels is looking out on the field? i'm getting worried that he's not walking straight into the team as he always, deservedly, has.

i think because of the reoccurring injuries he has been getting they are taking the cautious approach with wheels to get him match fit once again before he is brought in...i have read he has been doing reasonable jobs without being spectacular. but sometimes thats part and parcel of being a backman.

yeah dukes look great last week.

think he will be too strong and experienced for Warnock. will be a great test for him.

tis what he's done his whole career really. (anyone read ball saying wrecker's hit on him was the worst injury he's had?)

i mean moreso how he looks running around, is he crisp?

Dont get me wrong....i have alot of respect for wheels, but his form this year has been a big disappointment.

i know he has suffered from injuries, but when he has been out on the park this year he has looked slow and played far too loosely on his opponent.

i hope he can get back to peak fitness and play the footy that we all know he is capable of, but his time may be passing by.

Who the hell is dukes?

whelan struggled a little last week but seriously, he was one of 22!!

at the moment, he is not playing well enough to warrant promotion to the seniors, especially in light of the job bell has been doing...

he is a good player and needs to regain his confidence!!

ferguson or lamb would play on dukes....

" Dukes was taken at 80 in the first round of the 1999 AFL draft by the Carlton Football Club, signing to a two-year deal at the tender age of 17. After one year on the senior list at the Blues, Dukes was delisted and picked up by Essendon where he spent 2001 on the club's supplementary list. " a quote from the article linked by CHAMP.

picked at 80 in the first round? signed a two year deal and then delisted after 1? does that sound a bit strange to you?

Dukes was on fire for Port last week, marking everything in sight, had 5 upto half time. He then had Chris Grant shifted onto him and barely gave a whimper after that, when his team was running riot. Expect Lamb or Biddlecombe to start on him.

I dont think Whelan has yet grasped a Sandy game by the throat as a player of his experience and ability should, and I think the club has done the right thing by not automatically putting him back in the Melbourne side. Everyone should have to earn their recall (as Yze has already discovered this year).

Good luck to the Dutchess in the reserves too in his comeback from a broken thumb. Fergs really needs a slice of luck in his career, every time he breaks into the Melbourne seniors, he breaks down, whether it be from friendly fire (Sylvia in '06) or bad luck (At Subiaco in '07).

Not like it was a big loss, the way he was going he was going to get dropped after that game anyway. He won't be on our list next year...

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
