He just doesn't read the moment...living on hope.

A good coach needs to pull the levers quickly !

He doesn't...That's bad!!!!

He doesn't read the comments on 'Land either.

Just listened to 35 minutes of so of the Deebrief podcast on the Dees v Hawks games. I think the passion shines through, but I think the boys might have been on the beers before the pod. It’s like being in the pub talking about the footy with mates.

I think Naughtsie had a run sheet but it went off course quickly when the umpiring was raised. They were actually a little restrained. The umpiring was a [censored] [censored] [censored] disgrace !!!

Because crud umpiring generates controversy and gets the fans emotional which all leads to interest in the sport. And then they can mysteriously assist some teams.

It is clear from the fixturing, the special games etc etc, that the AFL does not care about building a fair competition but is mainly interested in building an empire.

On the Kozzie trip - OK, maybe 4 umpires didn't see it and they assumed he tripped over his own feet or a paticularly thick blade of grass. But why no review or a dangerous act? Beyond outrageous.

At a very crucial stage of the game too was that non call.

Do we need six umpires fgs.

Do umps get dropped?

They should have a tribunal for them.

Now that would make footy interesting.

Id watch my non favourite umps get four weeks for bias or stupidity. Or in this case both.

An absolute shocker.

I reckon those things can be demoralizing for players and it would be difficult not to get frustrated and angry.

I know mistakes happen but I don't think I've seen many worse.

There was that non call on a Dob out of bounds at a Crows game a few years back.

And in 2021 some mug called us out for a Dob in the last h and a game v the cats when our player was racing against the clock to simply get the ball forward.

Not that I hold grudges or anything on these matters.

But Sheesh.

some stats for those interested re the Hawks. Hawthorn again won the free kick count last night but have not lost the free kick in EVERY game this year only tieing with us last week ironically.

They are now +60 free kicks for the year. you read correctly +60. how is noone writing about this ? that is more than an anomaly.

Mitchell says they will do things differently under his coaching. Nope that is exactly the same as under Clarko, build from the outside in, get good kickers and make up for lack of inside beasts using 'other ways' to win the contest.

I watched the GCS game and I thought Hawks had a lot of throws that got through.

Only managed the first half but some of those 'passes' would get a game in League lol
