Look, I didn’t want to have to do this, but it is time to take a stand.

If Trac leaves I’m gonna have no choice but to unfollow OnTrac5 and find a new purveyor of quick, easy, high protein weeknight dinner recipes.

It hurts me, but if Trac is no longer a Demon I simply cannot and will not support his chicken fajitas or pesto chicken flatbreads anymore.

(Thank you for your attention to this matter)

Yep. Back to the chiko rolls and dim sims. He can shove his fajitas up his [censored].

I'm perplexed by all those who are hurt and sad on here.

We're a bottom 6 team now two years in the running. With this guy at the forefront butchering passes, missing easy set shots, trying to shrug 5 and then dragging our image through the dirt.

If we want change, then things need to change.

He was brilliant at his peak when he went chips in on the team and game plan and his fitness. He's not been the same since he emerged as a top 5 player.

He might rediscover it elsewhere because he cares too much about what people think not to put in an extraordinary effort at a new club. But it wouldn't have happened with us. Ergo, moving him on is clearly the best thing for us.

I'm excited to see what we can make of it and how it can change the balance and focus of the team.

I understand that.

But clubs can’t control the quality of a draft pool.

And I’m yet to see a club throw in more because their first rounder doesn’t yield as quality a player as it might have in previous years.

My opinion only, but the value of a first rounder seems to fluctuate more in supporters’ eyes than it does in the eyes of list management teams in trade negotiations.

The Jake Lever trade! You definitely have seen a club throw in extra on-paper draft pick value because the draft in question was expected to be weak.

We really looked like we paid significant 'overs' for Lever but in the end, no regrets.

Pick 10 2017 and a future first 2018 for Lever. Are you insinuating the 2018 draft was weak? The first round was brilliant

Lots of questions need to be asked of how we manage to stuff up our only Norm Smith Medalist! I’m disappointed in Trac also as the other leaders are not jumping ship and instead of being part of the solution he wants out, the selfless has gone!

Fagan spoke about brotherhood amongst the playing group, hope King can develop this and feel for him losing a player like Trac, why would he want to keep him now, what message is that sending to the group, it’s not team it’s Me, Me, Me,

As others have mentioned Trac is best described as a meecenary. He doesn’t buy into britherhood. He is playing for himself and life after footy.

Now I’m not saying that the MFC is innocent in all of this but what is it we did wrong by him? The whole Kings birthday incident was not our fault. We just saw Jezza go back out on field in the GF. For all we could have known he may have been risk amputation… what if that had happened? Is Geelong suddenly to blame given Gezza insisted to play on. As you also saw Starcevich chose to exit the game on his own accord he said he could have played on.

Trac leaving is a good thing IMV. I can’t wait to hear the stories we will hear about him once he is gone

For some reason that draft became a personal curiosity for me. It wasn't weak as such, but a funny 'shape'. The top dozen were looking great (and have for the most part fulfilled that promise) and then it got very even. After all, Sparrow and Jordon are among the most games played outside that top dozen or so.

I'm sure we were banking on improvement, which thankfully came, but also there were three academy picks in the first round, and Gold Coast got pick 3 as compensation for free agent Lynch, so our traded pick ended up being pick 19, Liam Stoker for Carlton.

From Pick 14 to 32, ten players are already delisted, and only five have played a hundred games, which includes Tom Sparrow. The late first round into the second round was kind of a soft belly.

Not all of that could have been predicted, but the probabilities would have been considered.

Anyway, just for amusement's sake, how much would you expect a discount to trade picks from 2001 for picks in 2003? Now that's a banger and a clanger!

I'm pretty indifferent on Trac staying or going. With a new reign beginning under King, I can see an upside on both sides of the equation.

I certainly won't lose any sleep about Melbourne's most expensive butcher becoming Adelaide's most expensive butcher.

What I do care about is a fair deal. Lamb will no doubt focus on Petracca's past achievements compared to his future potential when it comes to negotiations. I can't see a deal being done unless there's a player component if I'm being honest. Did you know Josh Worrell is from Vic? 😅

Hmm, Lamb trading a butcher.

The playing group is fractured. Buckley said as much and it's been rumoured for years.

Tracc will leave the club that posted he would be back in six to eight weeks while he was receiving a life saving blood transfusion without ringing him that night this season or the next.

What’s the cause of the so called fracture & who’s responsible for it

When did Buckley say this?

I’ll wager that Trac has significantly contributed to the situation.

For what it’s worth:

  1. Fracture commenced with Oliver’s hammy early 2023 AFAIK.

  2. The biggest event to destabilise the list was undoubtedly Gus’s KO in the QF. Wasn’t Trac the one who let Maynard into Gus house to apologise? I’d say a lot of what we have now is due to the lack of leadership that Gus was able to bring.

  3. We also had Entrecôte.

  4. Multiple players with behavioural issues on the list

  5. Tracs NDE and ensuing Shannon Knoll banger moment.

So this club been through quite a fair bit when I put it all on one page.

The people still there and wanting to make it better are the ones you want to keep. Those that choose to play elsewhere and take the easy road are better gone.

The other thing I’ll mention is that a lot of our players tested the waters when contracts were being renegotiated. Gus, Jack, Kozzy etc took a bit of work. I think giving Clarry and Trac those big deals whilst others were accepting unders probably rubbed some ppl the wrong way.,

Why aren't we hearing about the good conversation between CP and the new coach, and the consequences?
