Couldn’t believe Goodwin in his press conference after the team he coaches kicks 6.15. He was saying how he was happy with the way we played, happy with a few young forwards??
Van Rooyen was good but that’s it, cannot believe the stuff that was coming out of his mouth, I know you have to be positive but it was pathetic the way he talked, he forgets about supporters having sit through that stuff, pay thousands in memberships to go and watch that [censored], he’s unbelievable, until he goes we’re stuffed!!

Goody and his game plan have gone past his use by date.

Era is over

As pointed out last week- heads should roll.. players are not up to scratch.- Bowey, McVee, Howe, Sparrow, Billings, Laurie, Chandler ,Turner  are all players I currently question - are they up to it.?

Players that are not being given a go re Fullerton, Kolstrup, Brown , AMW should be looked at NOW.

The coaching panel should be questioned heavily.,playing payers totally out of form, or being played in positions which seem they are not suited in re Howe- back pocket, Turner- key position.Petty - tall forward, 2nd ruck.

I blame Richardson here- he is in charge of performance - time to go?

Furthermore Williams- development and kicking - a disgrace & has been all year.

They are destroying this club.

WHAT ERA?? ONE FLAG ONE F***** flag I might add!

The Goodwin era
Home and away numbers

2017: 12 wins, 10 losses

2018: 14 wins, 8 losses

Finals 2 wins 1 loss

2019: 5 wins, 17 losses

2020: 9 wins, 8 losses

2021: 17 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses

Finals  3 wins 🏆

2022: 15 wins, 6 losses

Finals 2 losses 🤮🤮

2023: 16 wins, 7 losses

Finals. 2 losses🤮🤮

2024: 7 wins, 6 losses

today was a bad bad loss v Pies

At full strength (excl Lever) versus a Pies side missing 6-7 best 18 players.  We got humbled and frankly humiliated again.

Earlier this year Goody kept saying it was about making the supporters really PROUD to support the Dees.  Well it’s quickly moved to us members and supporters being disappointed, disheartened and embarrassed.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
