A hard no from me, this year anyway.

Given blokes such as a severely out of form Charlie Cameron and Matt Owies of all people have gone to town on us, I don’t think it would be wise to release our number 1 lock down defender up the field.

Each unit is as important as the other so I don’t see the point in robbing Peter to pay Paul.

It won't be this year and Simon is a very dour defensively minded coach so i can't see it happening.

Knuckles would need a pre-season training it anyways and the regular track watchers would start to become alert to this well before it happened at the selection table / game day me thinks.

Unless that happens there's no point wasting our breath on this topic any further imv.

I just love the usual suspects who come and leave their usual face palms, vomit and slap face reply, do you all text each other on posts but keep it up I like a laugh...

I spent many years getting nervous watching Melbourne rebound effectively. JMV has been a brilliant replacement for Hibbo and even better for my heart. Please can we leave him where he is, he saves certain goals all the time.

I was super interested in the vision shown on 360 of all the collingwood mids bar one grappling to give one player a one on one contest in the middle, I'd rather we tried that, because Clarry or Trac 1 v 1 i would think would fall to us 70% of the time.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
