PODCAST: Kade Chandler Interview

Fantastic interview with Kade Andy. We are very blessed to have such well spoken and well presented guys at our club. Helps that they can play too.

Great interview Andy. Really enjoyed every minute of it. Chin kept his goal a game average too.

Thoroughly enjoyable interview.

Would not mind hearing at some stage from a member of MFC staff on how they manage the various player tiers on life/jobs after football.

One of the pluses Fritsch had by joining as a 21 year old is that he's now a qualified electrician with his own business. I have always been surprised that players with long term injuries (ACL etc) are not encouraged to take a mental break from the football environment and engage in outside activities while maintaining fitness. Similarly will we ever see senior players at say age 28 taking a year off in an effort to extend/improve their playing career.

Fine young man. Well spoken.
  Marginal player.  Needs to lift.

That's a very strange take

A marginal player?

I presume by that you mean not quite best 22 and on the edge of being out of the team?

Apart from your personal assessment of his game, what evidence would you point to support that opinion?

If he was a marginal player wouldn't he be in and out of the side, often an emergency and/or frequently the starting sub or subbed off ?

Off the top of my head I can't recall when he was last used as a sub, or taken off and becoming the sub for that matter.

When was the last time he was not in our starting 22 and/or dropped?

Half way through last season?

I'd guess chin has been a best 22 lock for at least the last 22 games we've played.

Laurie could be described as 'marginal'.

Can't see how Chandler could be considered marginal.

What an impressive young man. Really enjoyed the interview.

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. Round 7 is here, with the ANZAC commemoration games taking centre stage. Who are you tipping this week, and which results would be most favourable for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
