I honestly hope we keep our powder dry & keep a strong draft hand for next year.

I’ve found it difficult to get excited about many of the prospects in this draft. Chances of a gem falling our way appear to be slim.

Where did Clarry come in when he was drafted?

Rubbish Too much  Focus on negatives of players c/f to top5/6 recruits. Part of AFL is developing your picks.  We have high coaching standards to accomodate up to top45/40 as has been proved.

some develop quicker than others and some are like Clarry ready to go. It's a bit of a lottery really and JT has it under cover from all bases.

Don't  fret we'll get 2 good additions.

If the player we like is gone by 13 I think we look to move to next years draft. Probably a handful of Cadman's hanging around in that draft. Or if someone we rate inside the top 10 is there, we take them.

Stick to Surfing Ir doesn't work like that Grab the best when you can

You are assuming there are Going to  be 30 /40 Cadmans in 2023 Draft. Not so.

13 for Jefferson does not interfere with any draft choices for next year. Cadman snd Jefferson I don't believe are much apart with Cadman bring more physically developed at this stage. Matthew is a bigger Fritta and is highly regarded and record is not much different toCadman.

JVR is also waiting in the wings developing nicely.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
