I feel like if we spoke about the AFLW players in the same way; referring to their “bums” “butts” “cracks” “big butts” etc, would result in the thread being deleted and/or a warning/ban. All for talking about players putting on size/trimming down but talking about “big butts” and the like, is a little distasteful.

The term "butts" is simply the shortened form of buttocks which is the general anatomical term used to describe the gluteal region containing the the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. Nothing distasteful or disgusting. If we are going to talk about distasteful, perhaps we should start with having a crack at your current avatar. Then again knowing you, your comment may have been tongue in cheek.

I tried to be serious once and even then people thought I was joking.

That expression has been around for at least 40 years, and I know this coz it’s what my old granny used to tell my brother to make him feel better about himself.
But she meant this type of curls…

Dworship, I have a sneaky suspicion you knew when you started this thread what childish humour it would generate from all of us.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
