Let's also not forget game time is 20% less this year to so I don't buy into the bye or fatigue issues, maybe mental fatigue from the players for not having a coached plan each week is more likely. Approx 240mins less in 15 games, roughly 2-2.5 games of normal footy, so we'd be about 12.5 games and we are fatigued? This with a full list and a supposedly awesome pre season.....

We aren't great i can acknowledge that, but the AFL have pharked us at every turn in this Covid season.

No Mental Break off because of the Ess breach, had to cram us in the schedule to allow us to make it up not our doing.

Players would be crying out for a week off to freshen up, but not for little old Melbourne.

Scheduling 2 games in Cairns at this time of year (Monsoon weather), late in the season off 4 day breaks.

Allowing Sydney to get their 2 days before us, so we can travel up with Frem.

Bent over a barrell from the first game of the year.

And so the Melbourne players all make a collective sigh of relief. Goodwin gets another 2 years.

Wow talk about complete crap for an excuse. This is no.1 one in the several steps of MFC loser denial, finding something or someone to blame.

From TGA website

COVID-19 testing in Australia - information for health professionals

26 August 2020

Tests for COVID-19 aim to detect the causative virus, SARS-CoV-2, or an immune response to SARS-CoV-2.

The reliability of COVID-19 tests is uncertain due to the limited evidence base. Available evidence mainly comes from symptomatic patients, and their clinical role in detecting asymptomatic carriers is unclear.

Later down the same page -

Due to the urgent nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of SARS-CoV-2 tests have undergone an expedited assessment by the TGA to enable their legal supply in Australia. These expedited assessments are based on the limited clinical and performance data currently available. All SARS-CoV-2 tests currently approved for supply are required to provide updated evidence to support the ongoing safety and performance of the tests to the TGA.

Which is to say, medical researchers, unlike yourself, openly acknowledge when data is of a lower standard than the extraordinary expectations they normally operate on, and in the circumstances a number of testing methods have been approved on stringent conditions of continuous performance reporting, and that, to date, the existing approved tests have performed to the standards required.

Or, to put it another way for those in the sniper gallery, the tests are performing to the required exceptionally high standard, but because people other than Elegt are in charge of medical research it is still deemed necessary to closely monitor for any issues.

This is also why we aren't drinking cow urine or gargling hot vodka to cure the illness.

There is no gold standard test for COVID-19 as there is no distinct symptoms of it. The pcr is known for being extremely sensitive and can detect false positives quite easily. Please do not blindly what you hear and think critically. Mckennas COVID scandal was a farce and highlighted how inaccurate the testing js

Number of players and staff in the AFL hub system X frequency of routine testing / number of false positives = false positive rate

Let's see, for round number's sake lets say that 1000 people, tested weekly, for a total of 20,000+ tests.

So the false positive rate is 20,000+ to Conor McKenna.

That the McKenna stuff-up was such a scandal does, indeed, highlight how accurate the test is and is expected to be.
