2018 Player Reviews: # 4 James Harmes

MOST IMPROVED

The improvement in James Harmes as a footballer in 2018 was staggering to say the least. He now holds a vital position in the team’s midfield where he can blunt the competition’s leading on ballers as well as provide an impact by winning his own ball. Has restricted the likes of Joel Selwood and Josh Kelly while consistently setting up scoring opportunities for his own forwards. Deservedly finished top three club’s best and fairest.

Some hoped and some knew improvement would come with this fella but not to the level we saw in the back end of the season. He was a joy to watch and has become almost elite. What a weapon!

Fast becoming one of my favourite players. Even got my dog a new jumper this year and it was a unanimous in my household to put number 4 on his back. ❤️?

Fastastic year, really hit his straps when he started tagging at the end of the year.

Yes, kids with #4 on their jumpers from 2017 need not feel disappointed,

Next to Brayshaw he was our most improved player. Went from fringe player to a must in the best 22.

I actually believe he was our most improved player bur Brayshaw as well but I knew Brayshaw had it in him anyway.
