I barracked for Collingwood today.

Wish our demons could play the same brand of footy as the pasties and tiggers

.....so can we bring ourselves to barrack for Essendrug next week?

That would be the ultimate test. All the more reason we need to win today.

I'm prepared to take that risk.    A decent showing in a final even in a loss may have the opposite effect. And a win.....

Get into the finals and all will be forgotten.  The narrative internally and externally will turn to a team on the way up rather than one endlessly floundering.

Just for discussion's sake

limp into finals...on back of 3 losses...not actually having any real momentum... meeting teams we have NOT beaten...having to step up to finals tempo ?

Not a good recipe I think.

No, but worth the risk 100% IMO.

Until today, I have NEVER barracked for Collingwood. They have been the enemy ever since they pinched the 1958 flag from us and earlier.

Why today?

BOBBY, BOBBY, BOBBY!!!!   You have truly lost the plot!!  There is NEVER any excuse for barracking for that mob.  EVER!!!  You are a complete and utter disgrace!  Go to the Naughty Corner, and hang your head in shame!  There is no forgiveness for a crime this heinous!!

(There MAY be selfish reasons why you would want the team they are playing to lose.  That's one thing.  I can accept that.  But, to actually BARRACK for the enemy??  Totally unacceptable!!)

Have I made myself completely clear??!!

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
